Autography...52 cars in 33 years
So here goes.
I started driving the Santa Fe last year. I needed to tow a new product. At about the same time, my middle son decided he wanted a Gen 3.8 track coupe. I took him down to lease it and ended up cosigning. Long story short, He meets a girl and moves out leaving the Gen coupe behind...oh yes he did. At first I thought I would drive it and give the Santa Fe to the wife...
I drove it and didn't love it. Not only did I not love it, I didn't like it either. So now I have a car I didn't want and stuck with monthly payments i didn't need.
Side note - don't ever cosign for your kids, even if they are great. Something happens to the male mind when it comes to women, I think we all know what I mean. Needless to say, he's on my shit list for a while but that's how life goes sometime.
So now I ask the wife what she wants to drive and she wants nothing more than the 2012 Gen 3.8 sedan she has. I traded in the SF and the Gen coupe and bought the Equus. At this point I'm kind of lost on how many cars I've had now?

...the cars are great...but the stories make them better.
I think 2013-2014 AZ car of the year is ES with all season tires and superior ground clearance, it is worth for someone to give up a M3 for.
I apologize in advance to Kimchi for putting him in the same sentence as the other 2.

Oh hells yes.

Is the ES anything like a red corvette?

It is. But that back seat in the K900......that was one of the highlights of my NAIAS visit in January. I would want someone to drive me around in my own K900 just to experience it.
PS thead title edited to "46" unless you've bought another since I typed this post.

Let's just say that John Krafcik is a friend. Now that he's no longer CEO I am open to other options. I really do like the Equus. A close friend of mine has a newer LS and can't believe how close they are in ride power and conveniences. The biggest difference is about $30k
Its a disease that effects us all. I've had over 30 vehicles since 1976. I still have 6 of these. This number does not include company trucks I've used for a daily driver over the last 18 years.
You should see what you can do in the Equus!
1982 Chrysler Fifth Avenue 200K when given to my uncle in 1990
1984 Oldsmobile 98 Regency 150K when sold in 1992
1986 Mercury Sable 100K when sold in 1994
1982 Cutlass Cierra 130K when sold in 1996
1989 Mercury Sable 194K when scrapped in 1999
1992 Mercury Sable 145K when I had an accident in 2001
1992 Mercury Sable 125K when sold in 2002
1994 Honda Accord 169K when sold in 2006, scrapped by my friend at 208K due to fuel line rot in 2014
1998 Honda Accord 100K when sold in 2006. ( I owned this and the 94 accord at the same time)
Still have
2002 Acura CL type S going on 9 years now
2003 Subaru Legacy L Special Edition, purchased in April 2014 with 61K.
Cars are money pits so I just drive them until it is no longer feasible to keep them.
That covers 30 years
