New grille is somewhat growing on me, but I still like the old one better.

I like it with the new grille as well. I think there's some bias going on against Audi out there. the Chrysler 300 has a similar full face grille, and in fact past Chryslers have used the full face grille, and no one says a thing. The minute Audi (re)introduces it, and all the media whines.

I don't like the wheels at all, but I love the car. I've always been a fan of the A8. It's severely underrated for some reason.

The A8 is an awesome car, I just wouldn't want to drive something that big.

1. The wheels are ugly

2. The new grille is awesome, makes the old front look boring. Overall, the A8 is a conservative car and the new grille gives it a stately look like a Rolls.

3. Indeed, bring on the S8........CAR magazine drove it an absolutely loved it.

I don't like big cars like that either. Midsize to small sedan is the biggest I will drive.

I like the old grille better than the new one. The old one looks more proper and the new one kinda looks slapped on. The reason Chrysler can get away with it is because their style of grille flows better on the 300 sedan.

cept for the part about small/midsize cars, i wouldn't mind driving a big car such as an A8L or 750iL or S550 =D

In general, I'd say no to modding an A8. The A8 is an exquisite car right off the production line--especially with the 19" 12-spoke wheels. Although, the new 5-spoke rim they're using looks quite good.

German tuners can do some nice looking things with their vehicles, however...

As a side note, has anyone heard about Bang & Olufsen doing audio work in the A8? Over on VWVortex, they have pictures of the B&O Beolab 5 sound system inside the A8...that's hot Hopefully they'll give Mark Levinson a run for their money...

I've been thinking about this lately--I think I'm going to be driving sedans primarily the rest of my life. I drive friends around rather frequently, whenever we go shopping or out to dinner or just if we run to pick something up. So having comfortable rear seats and gee-whiz features for rear-seat passengers is something that I would appreciate.

I'd rather drive a big car than a 7-passenger SUV, for I wouldn't use all seven seats too often, and the car will get better gas mileage than a fullsize SUV. Further, these vehicles offer a pretty decent drive experience for their size. So I think a good compromise is a SWB flagship car.

That's just me...
