DINAN is awesome for BMWs and super expensive. I drove a newer DINAN 2001 M5, and it was amazingly fast. The parts for it were unbelievably expensive-I know a supercharger was in the ballpark of 9k. DINAN has a great reputation for BMWs. The car looks like its in great shape, and its quality with all those DINAN parts.

As far as i know the engines are pretty danged sound, i don't know how much more stress the dinan package puts on the old'e six though.

The origional engines would go over 200k though. IT was in the final years of the e34 m5 that they started to have a couple reliability problems, they were pushing 340 hp in the euro models on a engine that in had been evolved since like.. 1973 or so. The e28 is a bit tammer though.

I think for what they list there that 15 or so is a fair price, the models i've seen with 150k+ on the odo were going for 8 or so. It looks like one that could be even a dependable daily driver, despite it's age, it's from when bmw made small family sized tanks.

I had the same bodystyle 85, 528 when I was 17 through most of college.

I loved the hell out of it. One of the best cars I've ever owned.

This is the first gen M5...very hard to find, and never less then 10g...usually modded...especially the rear suspension because I believe the stock rears had a tendency to go.

I'd love to own one one day.

Has the same issues my 528 had....auto headrests never worked. And the rear antenna only went halfway down...then had to push it the rest of the way in.

Car was a mechanical beast in terms of reliabitly....it was when all the electronics that started to go, that I reluctantly got rid of it...and started my life with hondas. til now (nissan)

I always see same body 535s for sale here in LA and I keep debating about getting one one day.

It must be a blast to get the valves adjusted every 15,000 mi on that engine.

DINAN is a rip off. Better stuff out there, and much cheaper
