Any issues with buying a vehicle out of Colorado?

Sorry if this is a dumb ass question. Am looking at a Lexus and Carfax shows it is out of Colorado. They do not do emissions like CA, do they?

Wont matter, the lexus will be CA compliant.

My only concern would be look at the under carriage for signs of rust.

I did not explain well but the rust thing is well taken.

Car is for sale in Seattle but Carfax shows it came from CO. Carfax says it has a clean title, one owner but who knows what the real history is with the car.

Just curious...then how do you know the rust issue is well taken care of?

I mean, so long as the original owner regular got his car washed in the winter to get rid of excess salt it should be fine.

I said well taken. In other words, "I hear ya". Not well taken care of.

It's a Lexus with 17k miles on it. Just thought I would throw it out here.

I am trying to find one with less than 20k. This one has 20k on it. I drive about 20k a year, so buying a car with 40k is out....

I guess I just have to head down and kick the tires. I cannot get to it till Sat or Sun and hope it is still there. That Cash for Clunkers have fattened the Dealers some, so some are not yet ready to deal.

Cannot figure out the transfers on this vehicle. Could it be that it was repoed and the Lender sold the car at auction?

We're not going to be able to see the CarFax.

Try Autocheck if you're truly serious about this vehicle. I found AutoCheck to be a much more sensible report.
