That Z got destroyed. I didn't notice at first, but the entire windshield has been ripped off along with the A pillar.

damn, didnt see the video. But really, from the damage some of those cars sustained, it certainly would take out our melons :p

Time must have stood still for the people there watching.

Wow, that is crazy. The blue z really did get destroyed up front.

I don't get how this still happens or I guess why they put up tents like this. Some of the bigger horse shows have had massive tents like this with stalls inside and have faced the same problems over and over again.

Most likely the insurance company covering the car. Most classic car auctions won't even represent a car unless it's fully insured.

wow, they are in Scottsdale AZ too...and this is why you go to Barrett Jackson. i wouldn't be surprised if these people are out of business after this one.

^ Got news for you.... Barrett-Jackson uses similar tents around their auction grounds. They just got lucky that their auction was over before this storm hit. Could have happened to them just as easy...

^ - x2. I really doubt the tent falling has anything to do with the auction company's reputation. Especially considering they pulled those cars in the first place.

Actually, Russo-Steele is developing quite the reputation for drawing qualified bidders and good quality cars. Barrett-Jackson was hit by the storm as well, but their tents are in a low-lying area and are somewhat protected. They've also whined enough times that Scottsdale finally relented and paved the grounds, including where the tent structures are erected in place.

Russo-Steele will survive and continue to promote and operate excellent auctions.
