The car is now at the other shop. No update on when progress will start.

Unfortunately more were discovered upon pickup. Don't even want to type about it right now.

Damn Jason. I hate to ask but have you thought about just writing it off and building the donor car from the ground up?

The is not more damage it is just another on the list of things I thought was going to be complete on this trip to the body shop that wasn't. No need to write the car off.

No worries though. Your IS-F is winning now IMO.

Car is being torn down at the engine shop as we speak. Blower was finally removed only to expose that the manifold is cracked. However, just got off the phone with discussing parts and I am excited. Building a beast has me stoked right now.

Tis a secret till finished. The prices are great prices I just didn't think it through correctly in my head. I will still be having it all done cause it would cost to much to brake it into different stages.

Jason has said the tsx will be faster than my TL, which means it will be as quick as the IS-F.

Sorry to hear about the slow progress...

Are you still planning to go with the route we had discussed, or are you now planning to take your build in a different direction?

New drivetrain parts ordered so that things can get underway with the swap. The rest will be ordered as soon as I figure out what credit card to get

Update:

Ok so all parts for project monster rebuild have been paid for as of Friday so they should be ordered then or today. The goal is still to have the car completed for a debut on June 30th which leaves 6 weeks for completion from today.

I have one additional side project I would like to finish before the debut but I doubt it will happen cause it will make a future project a royal pain. I will probably leave it till a winter 2012 project instead.

So the one part the had been on back order for over a month finally came in this past Thursday. Hopefully that means everything will get buttoned up quickly. Don't have any pictures of the car yet so can't even start on writing up the build upgrades but I will once I get the car back hopefully in the next week or two.
