Acura's pricing for 2007

So thats cool that they are giving more options but looking at the RL pricing...

Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition
Rearview camera
AcuraLink satellite communication system with real-time traffic

Is all that worth the extra $3620? Seems kinda pricey...

And the fact that a similarly equiped 335 sedan (sport package, navi, comfort package, cold weather packag and satelite radio) is only 7k more than a TL Type-S with optional 18s (those Type-S wheels are atrocious). 40k for a FWD sport sedan is pushing it.

You would think by now that that would make its way into the US RL...

They've been trying to "upscale" the brand... While there has been some improvements in the design department (TL, RL, and TSX are all winning designs in my book), there is going to be a point where some people won't buy a FWD luxury car when the RWD competition is only $XXXX dollars difference...

I think Acura is trying to see how far they can push their luck

Without a coupe in the lineup, I could care less what Acura's pricing is

Almost $39K for a TL-S with summer tires? Is there no option for Navi?? I guess I'll be saving up for the '08 Supra

I'm sure if it was RWD and Acura charged 7K more, people would still be bitching it costs too much

Not to mention, 7K is a huge gap

I read Jesal's post wrong. My bad. And yes that is sad. I wonder what percentage of 04-06 TL sold were with an MT.

Meh, Acura drivers bitch at anything that costs money since most are budget minded consumers.

And you can probably knock 1-2k off that 7k when you factor in BMWs included maintnence for 4yr/50k miles. Its getting closer and closer.

Damn, 40K for a TL Type-S? I hope the real dealer price is a lot lower than that, otherwise cross me off the list. This is probably the most expensensive FWD on the market? Maybe same level as SAAB/Volvo.

Wow, Makes the CLS look very simple & basic. Like comparing a 1985 car to a 2005 car
That's a very nice looking car to me. I like the exterior & interior. The wheel on the S look like Z06 wheels. It's a shame the TL lost it's value pricing
If a coupe is in the works expect it to cost about as much, more if it includes SH AWD.
If I got a really good lease deal on a 6mt TLS I would consider it.

The new Type-S looks great, especially the gauges, but like others I just can't get past spending $40k for a fwd sports sedan that doesn't even make 300 h.p.

When the prices drop back down in a year or so it wont be a problem. We, and many, got their TLs with navi for under invoice or around... So, we paid 32,500 for the TL with nav in 05. If for 2K more we could have gotten all that comes with teh type S we definatly would have. Makes a hellluva lot more sense than the 6K aspec option IMO.

When the next gen TL rolls around, with SH-AWD, that car is going to be a fricken killer, their would be no justification in buying anything else in that immediate price range.

I think as far as the FWD RWD "battle" in terms of handling, etc, it is really a toss up. While we do hav an auto I can turn off VSA and floor it through a turn and have no problems... Not to say their is NO torque steer, but its nothing capable of making this car any less fun than a BMW for a daily driver IMO. The real fight is the TLs lack of AWD, BMW offers it, Benz offers it, Lexus offers it, Infiniti offers it, Audi offers it... Lets see it on a TL.

Mike

The interior is beautiful IMO. I am worried how effective that extra torque is going to be though. It would make more sense if it was SH-AWD, but I guess we'll have to wait until the next gen for that.

Interior is awesome, type S emblems all look ghetto, especially the on on the steering wheel, tail lights are nasty, wheels are nasty, exhausts look rice, fog lights look out of place, and the FWD platform sucks ass.

I'm hoping it looks a lot better in person.
