Thanks everyone!

Here are some pics. Be sure to look at the last pic and give me an opinion on the passenger seat. I notice that there is a crease in it. I never noticed it until after I took the pic. I ran my finger there and as best I can tell there is padding missing where there is a crease. The crease is on the left side of the seat by the white stripe. You can look at the driver's side to compare how it should be. What can the dealer do about that?

Wow, the SE is a good looking trim! Inside and out. Congrats!

As far as the seat goes, I'd take it back and have them replace it. Should be on Toyota's tab, so you shouldn't have any trouble (manufacturer defect).

Thanks, I'm going to take it over to the dealer on Sat to see what they say. I'm not sure if the padding is missing or if it just wasn't properly stretched before it got sewn. Maybe they can get an upholstery guy to fix it. I'd be surprised if they have to replace the entire seat, but we shall see.

You're probably right, it doesn't look like too bad of a defect. In any event, they should take care of it. Keep us updated!

Thanks for the compliments.

I sent that pic of the seat off to my sales rep and I heard from the service manager today. They are going to consult with a regional service rep and will let me know how they plan to fix it tomorrow. Other than this minor issue I'm very happy with this car!

Any update on the seat?

Congrats on the car Might I suggest a clear bra, if you'll be doing 100 miles of cruising per day?

Dealer left me a message on Friday about the seat. They are going to fix it. They are working with corporate to get the part since there is no part number assigned yet. Should be fixed this month. He wasn't specific about what the part was. Could just be a new seat cover.

Is there any negative to clear bra?

I'm really happy with the car so far. I do sometimes wish I got the V6 for some extra punch but I am enjoying the MPG of the I4. It handles well, more grip than I expected from a Camry but I don't kid myself into thinking that it's a sport sedan. It responds pretty damn quick to the paddle shifters and the rev matching on the down shift is a nice feature. 99% of the time the car in in "D" though. The base sound system in the SE is pretty damn good once you get it adjusted to your liking, much better than what is in the current Accord.

Camrys really are invisible. The only people that may give it a second look are other Camry drivers. If you want attention this is not the car for you.

Some folks on the toyota board bitching about wind noise by drivers window but I haven't had that issue.

I hear it can get pretty pricey. Check with retailers in your area. And if you're super duper anal about your paint, you might notice a difference in gloss if the rest of the car is waxed. Doesn't stand out as much as rock chips, though.

That's pretty much how I feel about my 12 Accord EX. Although, there's not as huge a performance difference in the Accord K24Z3 versus the AV6 (5AT) as there is with the Camry 4 cyl vs V6. (read: slow walk vs slaughter)
