Thanks for reading!
Yeah. Cool thing is, I'm still in close contact with the original owner and I keep sending her mileage updates. She replaced the Legend with a 2002 530i 5-speed, then a Lexus IS. She still misses the Legend!
Thanks! It's a labor of love.
Agreed. There's nothing in the Acura lineup I'd love to have right now, which is part of the reason why I just keep driving this one.
It looks better in pics than in real life, but it's pretty decent for its age
Glad you enjoyed!
You'll get there. It's all about 100% OEM parts, adherence to maintenance schedules, conservative driving habits, and just overall paying attention to your car and its needs.
Hope you're right!
Yeah it's a bit obsessive-compulsive, I know. Haha.
Yeah, see you in New Jersey! Looking forward to the 5,000 mile adventure. Hope you let me take the black coupe for a spin again
Thanks Ken!
You know it.
They're still out there - grab one cheap!
Seriously. Funny thing about the failure is that I was literally just a mile from my house. After all the coast to coast travels, the fuel pump ended up dying within walking distance of my place. Talk about luck.
Will do - thanks for the kind words.
Thanks!!
Photo documentation, check!
Here's a quick walk-around video from when I had the car in a small show in southern Utah over Easter weekend a few weeks ago.

Looks like this thread got bumped up!
Mileage still ticking along. 476,100 on it now.
Thanks!
Definitely - keep tabs on it.
Woot. Thanks!
I appreciate it.
Haha she ain't showroom but she's decent!
Haha. I got a complicated order! You can have a Coke. It's all good, I like the SC's too. Especially the 99-2000 in renaissance red. Now if they'd thrown a 6-speed manual in the SC400 those years. YES.
Pay him no mind, he's just some trouble maker friend of mine who I let drive my car from time to time. He probably redlined it through every gear.
Indeed they are! Thanks for the kind words.

I've driven this car! Yes, it is pretty amazing, but don't get me started on our Legend vs. SC400 constant competition...

Wow this is truly amazing! I don't know much about Legends, but I will start looking into them now. I am going to be retiring the DD and winter duties of my 06 Accord V6 so I can prolong and preserve the car as much as I can...
And I will be looking for a "new" DD in a few months... I have been kind of set on finding a CB7 (90-93 Accord) in good condition to use as a DD/winter car, but seeing your Legend is going to open up the search to Legends as well.
Good luck with your journey

Who the Hell am I?! Well first off I have owned every Acura and Lexus model ever known to mainstream America, and second, I am a huge fan of the Legend. I just have a great time getting in his car and asking him where I am supposed to put my soda? I drove a SC400 while he has had his Legend, and we enjoy a lot of Lexus and Acura competition. I have been an active member here for over ten years. Since before you were born...

Absolutely beautiful Legend! I am on the same quest with my 06 TL although I only have 38k right now. I had a friend that had a white 94 coupe back in the day that I always lusted over. Since I want my TL to last as long as your Legend, can you tell me what type of oil and filter combo that you have been using?

Thanks everyone for the motivation and support.
Right on. Glad I could lead the way. With a little bit of care I'm sure your TL will go equally far.
Woot.
For sure. I'm a believer. 250k on your TSX is awesome!
Thanks!
Me too. It's still hanging on! It's interesting to swap driving between my two Legends since the sedan has a brand new clutch and it's SO light. Then I get in the coupe and get a serious leg workout running this thing.
Hey I saw that you already made your way over to the Legend forums and were welcomed with open arms. Hope you can find the right car. Let me know if you need any advice along the way. I've owned 8 of them.
I turned over 478,000 on the way home from work this afternoon. Crappy cell phone pic.
Sweet, keep tabs on my blog. http://drivetofive.wordpress.com. I post updates about once a week.
Thanks!
This car is 100% dealer maintained. 5W30 oil, OEM filters, 3000 mile change interval. Like clockwork.
I've been really lucky to live in the desert southwest most of my life. This Legend has seen only two winters in Utah. I've been towed once from getting stuck in the snow, in fact. I was always careful to keep the undercarriage clean though. There's not an ounce of rust anywhere on the car today.
