Doc...yeah, if you talk well with the dealer, they are marking some $$$ off the MSRP....
Steven Bell found a premier edition C7 (66/500) and instantly jumped on it....the dealer not only gave the ONLY un-ALLOTTED Premier edition for MSRP but also gave all accessories at dealer price and took couple points of the interest on the payments....
I drove the C7 and I have to say its a joy to drive....the rev matching is SICK...not effin need to heel toe....the magnectic ride suspension is awesome and the true dual exhaust note is just BONER MATERIAL....
for the first time, I saw the interior on a Chevy look sooo nice....I was telling the dealer that he should suggest Chevy to branch off the Corvette....like Dodge did with the Viper (and SRT)....coz when you think of the Corvette you should get a cheaply done interior and 40K price tag figure in your mind....the C7 is very very well done....

Anyway, as much as I’m impressed with many of the updates/new tech, I’m a little disappointed with the power. My modded C6 will run this thing from any speed. I would tell anyone with a modded C6 or Z06 to hold out for the Z07, which is what Im essentially going to do now. This is a great intro car for someone who’s never had a Corvette/new to the brand, but it will leave a little to be desired if you’ve already owned a modded C6 or C6 Z06. I already have this thing essentially sold to someone for a ~$5,500 profit when all is said and done (plus the credit boost to go w/ it when I pay off the principle at the 1st payment). I’ve enjoyed having the Stingray for the 1st few weeks it’s been out and I’m definitely thankful. But, it’s a win-win for me to move it now while “C7 mania” is still in full stride. I have my modded C6 Vert’, which I still love even after owning a C7, to enjoy anyway.
...... are you GolfR's dad by any chance?

Swoosh or Steven, what's going on here? Someone is trying to flip that C7 for a 13K profit?

^^^ yes....Steven had to return it to the dealer
so he bought the car late in the evening, I drove him up to the dealer and he drove it back home....some shit went down at his place and he returned the car the next day....
the dealer gladly took it back without charging him a single buck !!! the "next" in line came and bought the car for MSRP and now he is trying to sell it for a profit....when Steven said he wanted to return the car, I told him to flip it for a profit but he was tooo annoyed the way things were at his household and just wanted to take the car back to the dealer....
yes, I drove that 66/500 car
and yes, Steven ended up talking to his wife and they finally decided to keep his initial order for the C7 3LT Z51....he will be taking delivery of it today/tomorrow....

@ people trying to judge....if he wants to just use it and flip it, let me do it...
I wanted to buy the premier edition, not drive it and after 15 years sell it for 5million dollars...then I realized the flaw in my equation LOL

that is awesome....am glad Steven got lucky hahaha....however, I think this video is from after he returned his car....
now the serious part....I was asking the dealer about the breaking in period and what this guy (now before the comments about NOOB salesman...he was one of the 2 from the dealership who had gone to California to track these bad bishesss)...he told me that these cars "do not" have a break in period....what it means is you drive it/break it in as you drive normally....so if you drive in a spirited manner, break it in that way....
the only thing he said, dont jump off the rev limiter which the guy in the video was doing

I'm so confused...Steven Bell bought a C7, then didn't buy a C7, then bought a C7?

I like the yellow on red combo.
I would too call BS on this guy but it seems other members here have met him so perhaps hes legit, just not very modest.
Congrats on driving it for a week though. However I would rather have the C7 over a modded C6 any day but theres more to a car than just power.

Rick, Rick, Rick.....as I've told you in other threads, you think you know everything but know nothing. You proved it again....i didnt even call you out on it before because your just an annoyance, to be honest.
Crazy, people who know me here know the type of person I am. Regardless of what I post here, some jealous moron will try to provoke me to sound like an arrogant jerk. And I wonder why it took me a couple weeks with the car before I posted pics
We will see if I post what's coming next....

Why? Because I pointed out the flaws in your snarky post? I found the irony humorous. Internet Rule #1 - if you're going to insult someone, don't leave them easy reasons to doubt your intelligence.

I honestly dont understand the logic some of you guys have. Not only backing Steve because he is my boy but also because I would do the exact same thing in a heart beat.
I was on the list for the C7 since March. For the exact same reason, buy it, keep it for a month or so, and then sell it to make some profit or break even. Doc got lucky that he was able to get one below MSRP. I have never heard of that. Me along with 3 other friends were one of the first ones on the list to get the C7 and it was at MSRP. One of the guys, who has 30+ cars, has bought every new corvette from the same dealer was getting it at MSRP also.

for a select few, not at all. Its time invested, money made, and get enjoyment out of it.
How is that even relevant? I know some people do that but it doesnt even make sense in this thread. The car is bought, its in his name, there is no returning it.
I paid less than what one would pay for a cheap corolla to drive the Z06 and the Viper. Same thing for future cars that i will get. U gotta know what you are doing and in this case, Doc is doing pretty fucking good.
Or maybe he realized he couldn't afford the payments and jumped ship. Some people just want to wear expensive clothes to a nice restaurant once and return them to the store the next day.

I know enough to recognize you're just an attention whore seeking our acceptance. That's the only reason you post in Car Talk. Why else would you update this thread with a picture of a Rolex earlier, other than to show off & hope everyone goes, "OMG, c00l R0l3x brah!".
You did the same thing earlier by mentioning how you have pictures of a bikini/naked girls with the Corvettes just because someone said you need a blonde in your avatar. You just want to show off what you have & hope everyone rides your e-dick.

N, thanks for saving my breath. Re-read my original post mike-whatever. You're post was funny though; Im not going to respond to avoid sounding like an a**. Lets just say, I almost bought a "car" with a 58K down payment and monthly payments higher than my C7. Daily driving my modded C6 for 4 yrs has raised my standards for what I want next. Stay tuned.....

I get the idea, buy or lease a car and then flip it when you don't want to make payments anymore. But that doesn't make you cool and "renting" a nice car shouldn't give you some lame ego trip. Some people don't feel like treating cars the way girls treat shoes.
Ugh. I wish I never saw this thread, its just full of douche bro's patting each other on the back and calling everyone else losers.

Don't worry, I never subscribed to this thread in the first place. I forgot this wasn't a public forum and you weren't allowed to question inconsistencies or give an opinion. Don't worry though, you guys can keep stroking your egos long after I get tired of responding.
BOOM, sorry I brought up a watch in OP's thread out of nowhere and without context. Because its sooooo common for people who don't have the money to spend on a SC (I'm paraphrasing OP here) to go out and buy a $50K+ car.
