Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. I sincerely appreciate it.
Steven, I'll to get some good shots of the whole car when I get her washed up.
Let me re-phrase, she didn't literally "hook it up." That would be something (but I don't think she'd look the way she does if she could do that). I was having a rough week and she knew I wanted this, next thing I know it shows up in the mail. Sure made my bad week a little better; it was really awesome of her and I know this was not cheap.
JB, that seems like a lot of work, but if you could get a build thread merged that would be great. Thanks for your time.

JB, thanks for putting a build thread together. I appreciate it.
Just to "start it off" I guess, here is the A-Pillar I recently trimmed in Carbon Fiber.....
And a shot of the whole car, side profile, as it sits today almost 4 years after picking it up. Some better pics to come when a few more things I bought come in the mail.........

UPS and FedEx were good to me today.....some stuff to install when I get some time. More random crap coming. This is the thing I hate about the Vette: You don't go looking for the mods, the mods come looking for you!!!

Carbon on rear looks great but not sure about the pillar, seems to cheapen it IMO
Just looked up Carvaggio, incredible work and attention to detail. Some interiors look a bit over the top and I can't decide if I like the diamonds you see in italian cars but incredible none the less (I know, you can just do carpet instead of diamonds). Go for it doc!

1stGenCL,
I was thinking about just the diamond carpet too; I'm looking around to see who sells it individually, but I fear it's going to be out of my price range for such an item.
The Carbon Fiber A-Pillar is very subtle and looks great in person. The pic I posted is horrendous. Once I get some better shots, you might change your mind on it. I like those subtle touches.

Soon....some installs to finish up.
For now though, I'll add one of my all-time favorite vids to this thread from a couple years back. My Vette with a cat-back and the crappy intake I swapped/stock tune (40+ whp/40+ wtq less than I have now) vs. Justinspace's Dad's SRT8 6-speed. I miss gears in the 1st and 3rd run. It was fun though.

Looks great....I have always been a fan of the Vettes....I have always liked the roadster more than convertibles, but you sure are making this a tough one for me...

Thanks for asking. Just trying to keep it balanced like I always have. I wanted to build a complete Corvette (interior/exterior/audio/performance). Im installing the MGW short-throw 6-speed shifter hopefully this weekend and some interior/exterior aesthetic stuff next week.
I've been going back and forth with myself about Supercharging the thing. We will see. It's a $9K investment but will make this thing wicked fast. Still undecided whether to do that or move on to my next project.....
Thanks swoosh. Yea, the Vert's looks even better IMHO than the removable top coupes because of the tonneau cover and signature waterfall between the seats paying homage to the original 53' corvette. I dare even say the thing looks "exotic like" with the top down at a fraction of the cost. Being able to have the top down in less than 20 seconds at the press of a button sure beats getting out and taking a roof off. Given the fact that the convertible doesn't weigh much if anything over the coupe and doesnt give up anything in terms of performance (unlike most other verts vs. their coupe counterparts), it's a no-brainer to get the vert (unless you need a Z06/ZR1 with a fixed roof)'.

On a side note, got around to installing the MGW short-throw 6-speed shifter and bought some extra dynamat to insulate the heat coming from the long tube headers while I was at it. WOW what a difference! I feel like I'm shifting an F1 car now. I don't know why I didn't do this mod years ago.....

Thanks SpinSisko.
After driving around with the MGW shifter the past few days, I can't say enough of what a great product this is. The shifts are short, precise, and solid. Gone is any drive-line vibration through the shifter; it's really a quality piece. Bar none, best mod, dollar for dollar. Anyone reading this, if they make this product for any of your cars, I highly recommend it. If I ever get another Vette, this would be my 1st mod the next time around.

Also just put new Michelin Pilot Sports all around and got a 4-wheel alignment (dont want to vent on how much this costs). Before I did, I figured I would let the old tires go into retirement in style. My donuts turned into a "donut". Dont like beating on my car and cut it short. Still fun to do, once in a blue moon, with the convertible top down

Anyway, I shot this video with my GoPro Hero 3 Black last month and thought I'd post it up for now. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't capture the true pitch/sound of the exhaust (which is a good bit deeper). The pops on deceleration are also more dramatic....

Needs the ZR1 splitter in the front to offset that rear deck lid.

Sarlacc, I just tell you in another thread to stop riding my ass and then you come into my vehicle thread wanting to know the size of my dick. LOL. I really am starting to question you. Maybe we should let the wife know about this Thanks again for the laugh man.
Rick, I've wanted to get a carbon fiber front chin as well, but I would rip it off leaving my complex. I might test one out one day if I can find a good deal....
