an open forum is like FB....plus taking pix is a huge benefit for insurance purposes....I remember when my house got broken into, 14 watches were stolen, the insurance agency wudnt believe me and said "we need receipts"....how the hell am i gonna have receipts for 2 year old watch(es)....

i was scroll through my pix and found an older pic with 8 watches in the drawer next to my work badge....they didnt ask me any other questions

I like the items you have done so far. The spoiler isnt my thing though, was cleaner before it was added on.

 

Black wheels look better on a black car. Maybe go a lighter color, gunmetal maybe.
Carbon fiber lower diffuser to match lip spoiler.

 

I think the car would look better if you took them without using a potato

And +1 on gunmetal or similar colored wheels.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Yea, I liked the little SLP carbon lip I had before too. It was clean and simple. It sold on the corvette forum in like 20 minutes (SLP discontinued it for some reason). The guy I sold it to is so happy with it. I will say though, this spoiler I have on now looks *much* better in person than it does in pics (esp my crappy pics).


These wheels look better on the car than pics show as well. The flat black is a lighter shade than pics show. The rear diffuser is carbon fiber, just doesnt show well....

The truth is, I’ve actually had this thing since its release date a few weeks ago, just haven’t posted about it. It was a pre-order that someone backed out on. One of my patients who “owes me his life” (his words not mine) owns the Chevrolet Dealership where it was ordered. He gave me a call when the guy who ordered it backed out. I got it at 3K OFF MSRP and put no money down on it, financed the balance. I’m probably one of the only people in the country that had a chance to pick up a Stingray below MSRP (dealers across the country are gouging the prices to 10K OVER MSRP). I would have never ordered/bought one in Yellow (a little tacky for my taste) and it’s missing a few options I would have ordered, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

As you guys know, I suck at taking pics and I don’t have the right camera to show how beautiful this car really is, even in Velocity Yellow. It looks 1000x better in person than my pics could ever show. I can’t tell you how many people have taken out their phones and started taking pics of it while ive been driving or when I’ve had it parked. It’s that stunning in person. Personally, I’m not completely sold on the rear yet and still think my C6 Vert’ looks better from the rear 3/5 back, but its grown on me. The Z07 will prob help with the look of the rear with the wide booty in the future.

Anyway, as much as I’m impressed with many of the updates/new tech, I’m a little disappointed with the power. My modded C6 will run this thing from any speed. I would tell anyone with a modded C6 or Z06 to hold out for the Z07, which is what Im essentially going to do now. This is a great intro car for someone who’s never had a Corvette/new to the brand, but it will leave a little to be desired if you’ve already owned a modded C6 or C6 Z06. I already have this thing essentially sold to someone for a ~$5,500 profit when all is said and done (plus the credit boost to go w/ it when I pay off the principle at the 1st payment). I’ve enjoyed having the Stingray for the 1st few weeks it’s been out and I’m definitely thankful. But, it’s a win-win for me to move it now while “C7 mania” is still in full stride. I have my modded C6 Vert’, which I still love even after owning a C7, to enjoy anyway.

Nauman, as I told you already brother, come soon and drive it before I pull an "nspec_ya4" on you.

Legend2TL, thanks man, but AZ certainly doesn’t want to hear any more of my Cougar stories and any pics/vids I have of my Vette(s) with girls in bikinis/naked will stay w/ me.

Pictures just dont do the back any justice. In person everything flows very well. Even the black part flows much better in person.
