IMHO it felt like i was hanging out in the dealership for about 3 hrs rather than a car show..

And Acura not showing off the NSX AND honda not showing the civic si prototype.. big let down

Acura / Honda need to work on their marketing better. I think the CRV they showed had cloth seats while the RAV 4 and all the other non-luxury brands showed off leather seating.

Lexus, Audi, and BMW areas were packed where you couldn't get too close to the cars without 10 others being around you. With Acura it was like Lincoln and Infiniti where you knew if was a luxury brand but it was a very quiet booth. Porsche was crazy where every Joe wanted to get near a car they couldn't afford.

You are right that they should have showed off the next gen cars.

Toyota and Hyundai gave out bags to carry brochures in. That was a smart move that Honda passed on.

The big car shows are basically dealer shows for the new models and nothing more. Part of the issue was the China show happening a few days later so they had to hold back some stuff. Lexus debuted the NX in China so it was not shown in NY for the 1st 2-3 days.

the new C7 Z06 was sick... as well as the MX5 25th anniversary... nothing i found in Acura or Lexus that was appealing to me... it was quite a let down... esp since the NSX is slated to release 2015?
