Is this the best time to be an auto enthusiast or what?

BTW, I would still take a CTS-v and $40k any day of the week over the M5. If money were no object, though, I would have BOTH in my garage.
It's not $40k.

The new F10 M5 does not come out of dealer allocation for ED. You can get ED invoice +$1000 to $1500.

My F10 M5 only set me back $85k, which is only about $12k more than CTS-V.

You can get a base M5 for $76k, which is about $3k more than fully loaded CTS-V.

The V guys are very appreciative of the M5, as many of them came from M5s to the V. The thread on the V forum has turned into Cadillac customer service and build quality bashing, LOL!

Cadillac and build quality shouldn't even be mentioned in the same post.

Don't worry, he's another one of those "get offended when you criticize someone else" types, the ones that tend to show up every once in a while in Auto News, context be damned

I was just mentioning that in passing, but damn did I miss the shitstorm that happened in the RLX thread

Trolls will be trolls. The only thing worse than an stalwart apologist is an unyielding elitist snob. Any of them would get roflstomped in R&P.

Seems like a pretty close fight to me. Working next to a huge BMW dealer 3 hours from Munich, I see some M5's, but more Panamera's and 911's.

And I agree with Bob, The next generation should be really good.
