I'm forcing myself to wait until I get both a FMIC and Twin Oil Cooler before I get a tune.

I guess it depends on what tune you plan on going with, but I'm running an ESS tune on mine and still have the stock intercooler and oil cooler. No issues and I run in some very hot weather for a good chunk of the year.

I want to track it, and don't want to deal with limp mode (auto). Eventually, my goal is to stack a JB4 and COBB together.

Yes, due to the RWD layout. The OEM wheels were staggered as well.

Well, all the E46 M3 track guys were running the squared set up at the track. That's why I asked haha. Maybe those new ones have different chassis balance that encourage the staggered set up. I don't know.

Maybe they wanted more neutral handling?

Were their tires square or staggered?

Staggered. I think they said they understeer too much if they go staggered.

That's right. Square setups allow for more neutral handling and less understeer. This practice is common with the S2k guys as well...

All this talk is making me want to do a track session!

Let's go to Buttonwillow on 4/11 with Speed Ventures!! That's my next one. I think you can get a nice discount if you are a first timer with SV or didn't go for a long time.

Yeah, M3s/S2Ks/FRS&BRZs all usually run squared at the track. Guess it is for more neutral handling.

Looks good.

You've been through a couple cars recently. What else do you have in the stable?

Do you know if you can retrofit the calipers from F30 M sport to yours?

Kids...+ wife.

Couldn't pass up a chance at a Bimmer.

The torque converter trans shifts great, though, especially since I got the Alpina flash.
