2007 Camry Torque-Steer Spin
I guess Toyota subscribes to the philosophy that, if you're dealt lemons, make lemonade.
In their current ad for the Camry Sport Edition (am I allowed to say "Camry" and "Sport" in the same sentence?), Toyota has decided to tackle the issue of torque steer head-on.
Very creative. I wonder if the guy who wrote this has a day job at the White House?

I'm guessing you'll need an arm wrestling grip to hold onto a 295hp 3.5 VTEC on the '07 TL

i think you are mis-interpreting the ad. i think they meant to say that, with this much horse power, you better hold on tight, not to prevent steer spin, but just to hold on tight. my 2 cent

What I said was "An Oxycamry is a torquey-moron"
But, serioiusly folks..... the new Camry picked up some ponies to try and stay up with the crowd. Pretty sure it has a 6 speed auto also.
It's like putting flames on a Conastoga wagon. The hard way.

i haven't had a chance to drive a new V-8 Impala SS but i bet those things Torque-Steer like a BITCH.
I've driven a CL type S auto and it had a decent amount of torque steer but i can't imagine with a V-8
