The difference here is that unlike the Blackwood, this truck actually looks good. I would consider it but I bet the price is in the stratophere and you would have a hard time paying down the loan faster than it would depreciate

The problem with the Blackwood was one that it was about as useful as sports car meaning that the cargo bed wasn’t meant for anything other then looks. Two it was way too expensive at over $52K. And finally the interior was not what you would expect for a $52K truck trying to pass off as a luxury vehicle.
Now according to some car sites the Lincoln Mark LT will start at around $39K for a 2WD and the 4WD at $43K. It’ll be much cheaper then a Cadillac Escalade EXT and about the same price as the GMC Sierra Denali, also the Mark LT will have a much nicer interior and a useful cargo bed. So IMO I think it’ll do a lot better then the Blackwood, but only time will tell.

I agree with JPUT...they just slapped a Lincoln badging on it and thats about it.
And yes, this thing will depreciate as if it where a rock thrown into a river. I wouldn't take it if they were giving them away.
Typical American automakers. They never learn.

Well, if Cadillac can sell an EXT, I guess Lincoln could sell a Mark LT and I can't really fault them for trying. I don't think Cadillac sells that many EXTs though, and if you actually needed the bed, then you probably wouldn't want to abuse a $39K vehicle when a $25K one will do. It might not be a big seller, but since all the tooling is already done it probably didn't cost much to develop the LT and Ford will still make money on it.
I think most people will still gravitate towards SUVs in this price bracket, but maybe Ford has signed up (read: will give away a Mark LT to) a rap star.
