2006 CL - photoshop

OK so I have no life. Anyways, what if Acura made another CL? What would it look like? So here's my rendition. Let me know what you think.

First, teh paper work:

Then, the colors (done in Adobe Photoshop):

That's some nice design work. Good job.

However, it doesn't quite have the Acura family image. I'd like to see your take on a TL coupe. I bet that's what we'd see as a possible CL.

Good Job!

Do you have Adobe Streamline? If so, you can scan in & edit that drawing.

The new Illustrator CS2 does that also. You may want to check it out.

damn, nice, even though I agree, it doesn't look like an Acura lineage. Honestly it looks like one of those crazy new crossover-SUV thingys. but I gotta give props where props are due..... nice concept and design work - and the Photoshop colorized one is great.

Nice to see a fellow car-designer/drawer on here..... do we got any more?

Thanks. I don't like the idea of taking the TL design and turning it into the CL. Acura sort of did that with the 2nd gen CL and it didn't work too well. Don't get me wrong, I like the TL's design, but even now I can see room for improvement to make it look more menacing/dramatic.

Meh, don't have the $$$ or the connections to get those programs. What can Adobe Streamline do that regular Photoshop can't?

Oh geez, I've been working on this thing on and off for a few weeks now. I might do a rear shot, maybe even an interior. But it may never bloom. Depends on how much effort I want to put into it.

I drew this Acura GL (Acura's real flagship V8 car) and never touched it again, LOL:

Nice work, but just hack 2-Doors off the RL and I’ll be happy.
Keep the 4WD and the rest of the electronic goodies enact.

Otherwise….Acura looses another long time (nearly 15-Year) customer.

i think the old CL didn't sell as well because of the design... why can't Acura just make a 2 door TL? or an RL even?

PS just doctors up pics mostly, Illustrator allows you to draw directly into the program.

Streamline lets you scan in pencil artwork & clean it up...enables you to edit, increase resolution, etc.

But yeah, it can be money unless you can find a free copy on the net.

Yeah, you're always going to find things wrong with a production design. But the TL is a pretty aggressive looking car without going overboard. However, for good or ill, if they make a new CL, it will most likely be based off the TL (or possibly RL).

looks cool, but it doesn't look like a car. the sides look huge compared to the windows. maybe raise the roofline a little.

I find some Audi cues to your GL. Keep up the good work.
