2006 Audi JE Design A8

Interesting...

=============

JE Design from Germany, an Audi tuning specialist, displayed a comprehensive customizing suite for the new Audi A8 at the 2006 Dubai Motor Show.

A front spoiler with enlarged air inlets and additional side vents lend the Audi an impressive front appearance besides generating greater downforce and, as such, enhanced driving stability. Side sills with air intakes per set enhance air supply in the wheel arches and make the A8 look lower. The rear view is adorned by a rear spoiler on the boot lid, which produces greater downforce on the rear axle, plus a rear valance attachment with diffuser. Moreover, JE Design offers cartridges for double headlights consisting of fog lamps and upper beam headlights for the front bumper.

A completely new development in the form of a chrome-plated 4-pipe rear silencer system with a tailpipe diameter of 4 inches produces a sporty V8 sound and also has a performance-enhancing effect.

The standard Audi A8 packs 335 bhp. After JE Design engineers install a Kompressor-Kit and modify the engine management, the V8's power increases to 500 bhp. The car accelerates to 60 mph over 1.5 seconds faster than the standard Audi A8 - it only needs 4.8 seconds. The top speed is about 188 mph.

I wish these tuners would just leave the S-Class and A8 alone. I have yet to like any of the tuner offerings in any of these threads where some company essentially rices out one of these flagship sedans.

The kit looks horrible. Why can't they just leave it well enough alone.

I'm with a bunch of you on this one. They need to leave these alone when it comes to the body kits and stupid fog lights. Now the power mods and maybe a tighter suspension...well, those are fine by me.

May I ask why do they ever need Dual Foglight on a car? I see that on Mercedes but this is the first time on A8.
