2006 3 Series?

I know many of us had considered/test-driven the BMW 3-series before getting the TL. Now that the redesigned 2006 3 series is around the corner, is anyone considering going over it again? With the increased power and interior space, it may be a little more appealing this time...

I for one am planning to test-drive it... and see how it feels. The new interior though, is still not a match for our TL's. But if the new magnesium engine and improved handling are worth it, may be...

I have no intention of paying an additional 15K for a less reliable car

Once they return to the BMW of old, I'll take another look... but not until.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pick up my dad. His 5-series just crapped out on him on 95 (odd timing as I write this post)

If they do make the '06 330ti (supposedly it's going to have 350HP and turbocharged) I might consider one.

Yoda117: uncanny timing, your dad's car problem! I agree that if it is 15K more, it is tough justifying it. And MADCAT is right, you can get a 04/05 3 series at a great price these days (if you are looking, that is)

Acuraluvr: I know the i-drive has been very controversial but they supposed to have toned it down for the 2006 models. Lets wait and see. From what I have seen so far, the nav interface doesnt look as good as the TL.

If only we can pick and choose what we want from different models and order it customized (like ordering PCs from Dell... oh man I'm already salivating... forget it)

The navi interface is horrible. Go to the dealer and pull your hair out. The handling is great, though!

Wonder if Chris Bangle had anything do with the navigation interface design as well...

I just gave a marketing exec at BMW a piece of my mind today. My wife's X5 has nothing but problems. Matter of fact she is bringing it back tomorrow, the passenger side door is frozen shut. I have owned at least one BMW since 1990. This WILL be the last. Trying to convince the wife into the MDX. She wants the Cayenne.

when my buddy and I take his 2004 545i out for a spin we scream cause the i-Drive interface is horrible and the navigation isn't very robust... I like Lexus' and Acura's navi... haven't relaly played with Infiniti or MB, but MBs looks decent... hate that Infiniti's isn't touch screen
