I like the interior alot, but Im not sure what I think about the back. Does anyone know when it will be available and the price?

 

Yeah i think its been posted before. Im pretty sure there gonna be around 45K. I saw 3 in the parking lot across the street from whre i work they were doing comparisons between them and the BMW 5 series and audi a6. I think the look good all around.

 

If the RL is really 300 HP and AWD it will be a great seller for acura.

 

I thought I saw $48k in a press release. Dealer said November.

 

Front and rear look rediculous, and the side looks just like an Accord. Who cares if it has a zillion hp (electric hp is bogus anyway).

Honda must have hired a group of monkeys to run the company. Idiots.

 

"Electric HP is bogus anyway" ?!? how so? HP is HP. And the RL doesn't have any electric assist anyway.


The car is boring looking. It doesn't say $50k when you look at it, it says $20k.

Conservative honda styling <yawn> on the exterior. They need to sop making everything look like a Accord.

The interior is gorgeous.

 

I was just refering to the rumors of the hybrid power to give the car high HP numbers. Have you been in a hybrid car? No thanks, I'll take one engine please.

But still not a Lexus.

 

Hyrbid cars made currently are for lower fuel consumption not power enhancement. So comparing them is kinda ludacris right?

Electric assisted sports cars would rock. Electric motors make their torque instantaneously vs. a combustion engine that takes time to rev up.

 

all wheel is the shyt... my mom is a big subaru fan... and i take her legacy out sometimes and just drive like mad... its awesome... and its hardcore on the road....

i might get a subaru legacy gt limited next.... its just under 30k and looks killer... there will be comp for the RL for sure...

 

I agree. THe car has the SH-AWD and a nice engine but is so missing the styling to advertise it's new gear. It could be the new Avalon or a Buick.

 

Yes, normally it would be silly to compare cars made for fuel economy vs. one geared towards performance - BUT this is Honda we are talking about. They don't have the balls to do it right IMO.

It may have been jumping to gun for me to say electric power is bogus - I just think for now it will be a while before we see a production car with a working system that is proven better than it's all combustion counterpart.

Interesting. Only runs 100 miles at 60mph though, and at track speeds probably lasts 10 lol. 28 Optima Yellow tops? Replacement batteries at moderate cost? How is 28 x $150 or $1200 moderate?

I totally agree with you. Honda is way too conservative to do it correctly. But who knows the new NSX (whatever they call it) might prove us wrong.

Ya I agree, especially with the HP wars going on now.
