The front still looks like a Grand Prix. What a waste of what once was an awesome car.

Its a pontiac, so its gotta look like a pontiac. Its like how people say the TSX looks like a civic. And a BMW M3 looks like a 320i.

Peak Tq: 500 Lb-Ft @ 5200 RPM

GM will never rate another car that uses the same engine with more HP than a Corvette. (ie, 400HP CTS-V compared to 405HP Z06 both used the LS6)

GTO fans should consider themseleves lucky their getting the LS2 from the C6.

its gota be a ls6, boosted somehow...........like supercharged.......

or, this is bullshit!

domn is right, in their eyes the Z06 is GOD with 405hp, all NA........the only way to get that much HP is Bossted!!

but, GOD DAMN that would be sooooo sick!! that thing would desamate ALL!!!

I read in one of the big 3 mags that the 05 GTO is getting the LS2 from the C6, But now that I think about it I don't think they were referring to the Judge, The regular GTO is getting the 400HP LS2, so those stats MAY be correct.

And its fact that the next Z06 will be using a 6.4L V8 dubbed the LS7 so I guess the Judge is getting the same engine although I highly doubt that engine is capable of 575 ponies? and I highly doubt the GTO would be rated as high as the Z06.

Does anyone know what the new Vette's compression ratio is? How about the redline?

and a higher compression ratio (10.9:1 versus 10.1:1)

I believe redline is somewhere around 7000.

the orange car is a special vehicle motorsports car that has been boosted to create excitement around the launch of the GTO. The blue GTO in the film has nitrous.

400hp is probably overstate, if they even decide to sell a hopped up version, it will be like 375, more like a TA replacement....

So this Judge has a LOWER compression ratio, the same redline and makes 160 more HP than the Vette with nothing more than 0.4L and a glorified CAI? Even though those cams are very, very agressive, I'm going to go ahead and call . This car is impossible.

That "ram air" system sure doesn't look very impressive. The scoops are 1/2" high and the intake has to make an S-turn before it enters the throttle body. I bet our CAI flows more air and a cooler charge than that system does.

575hp would have to come from forced induction, likely a supercharger.

I see your point but TRU is right. It does not look aggressive enough.

Okay im selling my trans am and my TSX...

(just kidding)

But im sorry, it looks way better then the previous GTO

Hey you have to give pontiac SOME credit, they put out a dud, they try to do something with it right away.. For example, the Pontiac ASSTek, the first year of it was UGLY AS SHIT.. Did they wait a few years to do something? No the next model year they updated the styling, its still not amazing but I have to say it is better looking then the 1st year.

Oh I think it looks great...but if it looks just a little bit more agressive...

I dunno... without the hood scoops, side flares...it just looks like a previous gen two door grand prix...

I think the GTO looks plain, but certainly far from ugly. Probably not aggressive enough for a GTO, but given that Bob Lutz just looked over to GM's Australia operations to pull a decent platform over to North America within a year or two is definitely not bad. Wonder what Bob has in mind for us with the next generation GTO? IMO, the Holden Monaro and previous-generation Commodore on which the GTO is based are some of the best-styled cars on the road bar none.

looks pretty decent to me, a lot better than the vanilla GTO styling. I wouldn't buy that over a Corvette however.

I agree. Not that it will ever see the flourescent light of a showroom floor. But it's sharp. I love the rims. The fender flares smack of Skyline. In fact, this is a pretty nice blend of American muscle (via Australia) and tuner style.

Which of these is the newer, better looking one??? I still cringe every time I see one.

I think the Judge looks way better than the base GTO.

I rather like the look. It's far more aggressive than the standard GTO. A true GTO Judge would be

Officially the 05 GTO (Not Judge) will get the C6's 6.0L 400HP LS2 but rated with 5lb-ft less than the Vette at 395. The old 5.7L LS1 is dropped altogether. If there is a Judge we won't see one for the 05 MY.
