2004 Audi S4 opinnions
I've been looking at a few on autotrader, I got the urge to trade the TL for something different. What do you guys think about these bad boys?

That twin turbo was a sweet engine (I owned a 2.7T A6), but the turbo's failed like clockwork.

Hmm I'm sure the water pump and timing belt would cost a lot of money. But it also depends how many miles on it, and what warranty you get. Fixing Audis can get expensive.
Make sure you get a chance to test drive one....I also had the same urge and after driving one I was less than impressed. I did however make the mistake of comparing an e46 M3 right after the S4 test drive. Since that comparison I've been trying to justify getting into an M. Those cars are truly amazing...
If the car checks out and has had the timing belt replaced (assuming it has over 60k miles), you're golden. I test drove an A6 2.7T last month, damn check engine light came on during the drive and the car lost all oil pressure. Needless to say, I didn't buy it. Just be ready for the high cost of ownership in an Audi.

Just the rear differentials really...and a couple aftermarket solutions do now exist since the '04 V's are coming off warranty. The aftermarket should really start to kick in and you'll start seeing some serious HP numbers flooding the forums.

I fully agree on the interiors. My '01 CLS had a nicer interior than my '05 V. You tend to forget about the interior when you get torque-slapped a few times though.
