Nice looking, but will be about as exciting as a wart to drive.....not powerful, heavy, no stick available in U.S. (think I read that).

I read the reasoning behind the FWD only on this car is from Audi doing their research. They claim that the majority of people that buy convertibles live in warm, dry climates. They feel there is no need to put AWD on cars that will be driven in those types of climates. I guess I agree with that part, but I feel they should give the option to the buyer. AWD is what made Audi famous.

That's how I feel exactly. German cars are so expensive, arent they?

Exactly. And they added that 90% chose the auto tranny so they did not bother with the manual tranny for the USA market.

Notice that the photos are of an Audi version only sold in Europe. It "wears" a 2.4 liter engine making about 170 or so HP.

The 170HP, 1.8 liter 4, will also be introduced here in the USA later but I just dont see how it will be sufficient for the weight of this car. It's weak even in the coupe. This car is much heavier than the coupe. Audi needs to enlarge its engines. What do you think?

If you are talking about the 1.8t (turbocharged) engine, then it will be ok. It is a rather smooth engine capable of putting some decent power out. The main problem is the lack of a manual IMO.

I really don't like it. It looks too much like any other Audi. Also, the body is way too high, IMO. I thinkt tha the plastic trim that runs along the sides should be higher. It looks too narow too

I agree about the lack of a manual. But do you really think that the 1.8 liter, 170HP engine will be sufficient on this cabrio, auto-tranny, car? I dont think it will.
