Most members will suggest:

Springs (to get rid of the 4x4 type stock height)
Headers
Intake

Head on over to the CL forums....

<--- still stock, after all these years...

hey make sure your car got the 2nd gear lubrication, all 2001 cls were called for this. you only have to do this once and you're set for a longer lasting transmission. i have a 2001cl with 40k on the first tranny and trannys still strong while i redline in every gear, peel out, and do brake stands all day everyday. yadamean

check and see if your MIRC is working , then add intake, headers and an axel back exhaust. Then when you are done with that, add wheels and a drop, some sways, a strut tower brace. And if your tranny is good, just hope and pray that it doesnt shit on you.
