18's vs. 19's

Hey guys I'm new to the community but I just got my 2001 CL-S last year and I put the Eibach Suspension on the ride, wish I would have went with the Tein coilovers. But anyway! It's time to put some rims on it. My thing is this, I need some real AcuraZine help! First of all can I go with 19's with out scrubbing and if so, is there a specific offset that I have to get (35-45)? Second if both can go on there with out scrubbing, All you guys who have 18's and 19's can you let me know the good bad and the ugly on what you got. Thanks guys!

First off you should have asked this in the 2nd Generation CL forum. But i have eibach springs on my 03 CL and i have 19's. You need a min of +45 offset. You MAY be able to get away with +42 but you will most likely need to roll fenders.

The main thing you want to worry about with any wheel is offset. Make sure the offset is right for your car. Check out www.ronjonwheels.com They are sponsors here, and you can pm rondog, who is a member here. Their wheels are made specifically for Honda/Acuras. He has 19's and 20's that will fit your car without rubbing or the need to roll you fenders, even with a drop. Plus they are hub centric so they will fit you car perfectly.

Go with 8" wide wheel and a +50 offset and you're golden.

Hey these are a perfect fit

+48 is ok too on 8" wide. I wouldn't go below that though.

I have 19x8" with a +45 and Eibach's, and I think its the perfect combo.

I have 19's on my 02' TL-S... if I can do it all over again? I'd probably go with 18's...

It's on Eibachs (non adjustable). The drop is 2" and some change. Just enough.

tire budget will also be a deciding factor. i've noticed that 19" tires cost alot more than 18" tires.

yup, and a bit on the odd side, another reason why if I was doing it all over again, I'd go 18's
