'06 Honda Ridgeline vs. '06 Toyota Tundra

Hey Guys and Gals,
Which do you prefer and why? I have an '02 TL-S and would like to buy a truck now so any comments would help. I am leaning towards a particular vechicle but would like to know what you folks think.
Thanks for any input and don't forget to give a reason why.
Kam...

Tundra

V8 and a real tranfer case where 4lo is selectable

Also, much greater payload.

V8

What are you going to do with it?

Ridgeline for road driving, Tundra if you're actually going to use it for truck-like purposes - for the same reasons stated above, and adding that the tundra will have a rough ride when empty (especially if you're used to the TL).

Just like they said, what will you be using it for? The Ridgeline is more like an SUV in a truck's body. Torque > HP when it comes to getting a truck for towing.

Thosa aretwo totally different vehicles in my opinion. I just bought a truck and actually looked into both of them.

A more reasonable comparsion might be the Ridgeline VS. Tacoma.

Both are V6, both get the same mileage, both have 4 door models.

The Tundra is awsome, but a gas hog. Which = power, but worthless if you dont need it.

Here is a forum with just that comparision: http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef56d7b

Here is a comparison from Car and Driver of the Dakota, Ridgeline, Tacoma, Frotier, Colorado..

The Ridgeline looks like it fell out of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. It's odd to me that all the Honda's look plain or plain ugly and the Acura's look great.

The Ridgelines seem very expensive to boot!

I test drove the Ridgeline ... (1st impression (WAY TOO MUCH PLASTIC))

Really nice ride on the road... I took it alittle off road and it does not have the ground clearance I would be looking for in a Off-Road truck..

The trundra as another member mentioned is a gas hog... so I test drove the Toyota Tacoma.. I enjoyed the Tacoma and it road exactly like my sisters 4-runner.

When I am ready to buy a truck, the Tacoma will suit my needs for now.

It's more like an raised Accord with a bed and big tires

Oh, and if you're interested in light off-roading, this might be of interest to you.

...as he returned to L.A. noting that the Ridgeline seemed to be handling a bit strange. A check by the dealer revealed that all four struts were blown out and needed to be replaced

ROFL.

Not only are they expensive, but the V6 is a gas hog. 15 mpg? Ouch.

Maybe he can get a Tundra at Ridgeline prices.
They could be discounting the Tundra's since it's year end and a new model is coming out, and the Ridgeline just came out.
