06 G35 or 06 IS350?

At this time I'm selling my 2nd Gen TL-S to buy another car. I wanted a newer and a luxury sport car. I've been eyeing on these two cars and I think both are real nice and had good reviews. I've seen both cars in the market pricing about $28-$30k. I wanted to get opinions from others on what car I should get or any positive and negative feedbacks about these two cars. Looking to purchase a new car once I sell mines. Let me know guys....Thanks.

The IS350 is already in the low 30s used?

Something to consider is that the G35 is the older model while the IS 350 is the newer model. However that also means that the IS 350 is a first year model.

Do you need backseat room? if so hands down the G35.

I say go test drive some and see which one better suits your needs.

If you're looking for luxury sport, then the IS350. If you're looking for sport luxury, then the G35.

They are cars of fairly differing characteristics. One clearly emphasizes one aspect more than the other. Pick based on what is more important to you.

I've seen quite a few IS350 for about $29-30...I guess you have to lower the price for a quick sale. Thanks for the responses so offer...

If you can have an IS350 in the low 30s then go for it.Just like someone said the IS is the newer generation whereas the G is the older.

I took my FX in for something minor to be replaced under warranty on wednesday, and they gave me an 06' G35 as a loaner... I was kinda annoyed cuz of ALL the loaners, only one maybe two are 06's the rest are 07s... anyway, they screwed up on the ordering of the parts and asked me if I'd like to go ahead and keep the loaner til tuesday. I took the offer knowing that I was going to be doing a shit load of driving and the FX's a gas guzzler... but I asked them if I can swap it out for an 07'... which they did. All I can say is... there's a HUGE difference between the an 06' and 07'.

It would be great if he could have the new G, but I really doubt you could find one under his budget.(28-30K).He can still look but the IS remains the no-brainer in the choices he offered.

IS350 ... Though if they are losing that kind of value in a year you should really reconsider buying one.

I don't understand why people bring up other cars in a thread like this when it's not even anywhere near his budget.

I'd go with the IS350 but I am a diehard Bimmer fan so hehe I might just suggest you the 3-series.

So you want an automatic I take it?

Prefer the IS350 engine over the VQ35. Just list your priorities and go from there.

06 IS350

Now if it was the 07 G35, I would take the 07 G35 over the 06/07 IS350.

correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the back seats of the IS a bit cramped?

they sure are.

but i didn't factor that in since we're voting on just exterior looks (i'm assuming).
