Obviously not. I do not think the seller has the car in posession yet. I believe the FXX's were like the ENZO's where Ferrari had to offer you the car for sale; not just any average joe millionaire could buy one. So the seller knows he has one coming to him and is gonna flip it for a quick profit as soon as it arrives.

it looked like a hoax to me. they talk about it on ferrarichat.com. the seller looks legit though. maybe the guy was just testing out teh waters to see how much he can really get it for?

He must have sold the most ENZOs,F40's, F50's to be even considered by Ferrari as a prospective owner of the FXX. Only 20 lucky bastards in the world...

Ferrari probably gives these cars to its best customers ( exotic dealerships ) as an incentive.

Because they dont own the car...and are either Brokering it or most likely know where they can buy one for XXX $ and are willing to sell it @ XXXX $$$$ to make $$$$$$....

Personally if i was going to spend 2.3million on a car i'd go direct than deal with some fly by night car dealer...

The problem with you last statement is unless you are one of the "chosen" you don't have the option. You would have to be of their best customers to even have a shot, even more so than with the Enzo. Ferrari supercars are so special they can and have put all sorts of restrictions on them. Did you ever see a magazine test of the F40 when it was first released... Ferrari made sure you didn't. The eBay auction was probably merely to gauge interest and make contacts for the actual sale. Very few muti-million dollar sales are actually finished through eBay, they merely start there.

I'd take a Ferrari F430, Maserati Quattroporte and 100k for maintenance money over that car, if money wasn't an issue.

the reserve were met on both of the cars, one going for over $2 million more than the next?!
all from the same place?
20 made in the world?

what would make me believe this dealer got 2 of the 20, or a 10% allocation?

not buying it
