Arrow 05 TL Salvage

what is a good price to pay for a salvage 05 WDP with navi. it has 9K miles and smells brand new. the car drives perfect and there are no problems with it at all. seen the pix before it was fixed and dosent look bad. input would be great.

Personally I would not pay more then 15K..... assuming I was nuts to by a salvaged 05 TL.

the whole front looks like it was completely smashed in... thats trouble right there.

I agree with F900 that front end damage in any front driver could be asking for trouble if not repaired correctly. I have no idea what the car is currently worth, but regardless how well it was repaired I imagine it would be worth considerably less to a dealer upon trade-in. That being said, if it was repaired and tracked correctly, I personally wouldn't have a problem with driving a properly repaired salvage vehicle if I was to drive it for a number of years. Will Acura still warranty the components that have been replaced due to damage?

Might be a good car to gut and make a rolling stereo showcase out of, but not a daily driver.

Salvage title = bad...at any price.

I second that look at the damage on that thing and you still want it.

well the value of a salvage vehicle is all in the eyes of the buyer... if you feel that it is worth 15k... then go for it... but technically the value of a salavage car is $0.00

here is a few things of the invoice which were changed. hood, left fender, both headlight, radiator support, reinforment bar, intake assembly, battery housing, battery, radiator, condencer, over flow bottle, radiator fans, front srs sencers, driver airbag, main srs module, drivers seatbelt, engine covers were all replaced, there are tons or misc stuff like screws and plastic stuff. the truth is that i bought the car when it was hit and bought all the parts from acura dealer and got is repaired at a really good shop which specilazes in hondas/acuras. the car had no suspension problems it drove and the radiator and stuff wasent even leaking it was just bent out of shape. i paid $4500 to the body shop and $6500 to acura for parts. i made the body shop take eveything out of the engine compartment so they can fix it 100%. they even painted the chassy so it dosent look like it was ever in an accident. anyways the car is done and first i was thinking of keeping it that why i spent so much money on it but i need to sell it now cuz my g/f wants to move back to seattle where her family is and i will need moneyto do that move. not only that but now i have to see what the heck i am going to do about my car that i am driving now (00 TL). i will have to sell this one or get it shipped over there cuz i dont wana drive 4-5 days. but yeah thats the story

i really hope someone buys it cuz i am 80% sure that i am moving on sep/24. the whole reason why i am oking the move is cause i will be having a kid in feb and why girl says that the hospitials and clinic here in nyc are like crap. and that she never even see's the same people when she goes on oppitment. i had my daugther 2 years ago back in seattle and i gotta say people at hospitals are alot beter there than here. but anyways i will probbly put the car in the Black Market next week after taking pictures. and what sucks is that i wasonly done like a week ago and i didnt even get to drive that sucker.

Not to sound rude, but you'd need a whole lot of time to sell a salvaged car. GL..

How about this..what are you LOOKING to get for it? Hindsight is 20/20 and you should've saved your $11,000: smackhead: for something WAAAAAY more worth it.

Why not just say your asking price? You'll have to reveal to any buyer that the car was salvaged, and typically that will shut down the chat. I'd say keep the '05 (since you know what it's worth to YOU) and sell the '00.

In that case, $15k should maybe sell it faster.

Does carfax pick up that it has been salvaged?

Was it a salvage title? You say just like yours, but there's no way having a salvage title is only a $2000 hit ($25K - $23K).

I hundred percent. Sell your old TL and keep your salvaged one. Since you say its in pretty much perfect shape why sell it for 15 thousand when you can keep it for years and just sell the 00.

dude when i said just like mine i meant everthing wise including that it was salvaged and had a rebuilt title like mine. and anyways the value of the car in KBB shows as like 32k or more. so i think 23K which is a 10K drop in price should cover up for the salvage part of it dont u think.
