04 TSX trade-in

04 TSX trade-in
I have an 04 TSX with low miles.
The Acura Dealership called to schedule a time to discuss with me
the option of getting a newer model Acura because they are low in supply of the
older model TSX's.
Does this make sense to anyone?
The most sense I could make of it is that people are looking for
older model, but Certified Acuras and the dealership is in short supply of this.
What is really strange to me is that my car is financed.
it's not leased, so this possible trade-in deal is a bit unusual right?
Any insight would be much appreciated

they do it to everyone. It always somehow works out in there favor. Don't let me them fool you into anything.
If you really are looking for a new car, then it won't hurt, but don't let them persuade you.

i don't get it in the mail, but whenever i service the TSX, they staple that we value your trade on my service receipt. i'm like this is just bs. i guess that's the worst part of the buying a new car experience is dealing and negotiating with sales people. it's like you got mind games going on and trying to outwit each other.

Do you want to get rid of your TSX? If you are thinking about it, it couldn't hurt to sit down and talk to them about it. You should be strong, and stay in control of the situation. Don't let them lowball you, and be sure to knock at least $2k off of their final offer on the new car.
