Wierd Euro car suggestions?
Wierd Euro car suggestions?
Well, my company wants me to move to Amsterdam on July 1st for at least a year. Not sure yet if I will accept but I am considering it. I'll have at least 500 euro/month budget for a car that they will pay for.
There are so many different models out here that I don't even know where to start. I'd probably like something fairly small and initially, I like the Peugeot 207. http://www.peugeot.com/en/products/c...ugeot-207.aspx
I definitely want something that I couldn't normally get in the US. Any suggestions?

I'd want a ford mondeo.
I've just heard about so many problems with french cars, and alfas. If you don't plan on keeping it too long though, maybe it would be reliable enough.
I want to drive a Citroen C4 cause of the nifty steering wheel, or the peugot 1007 for the sliding doors
. How about the Renault 225. or the FIAT 500!
If I wanted something a little more reliable, how about the european Civic type R.
I'm sure I'll think of a lot more european cars I would want to try too.

?Umm....You have this in reverse. This trend started when Cadillac took the Opel Omega and rebadged it as the Catera. The US portion of GM's cars with quality are the rebadged Germans. Hell, even the first Cadillac CTS was using items out of the SAAB parts bin (look at the A/C vents).
For a car you can only get there...Hmmmm.... I would have to say an Alfa, then maybe a Skoda... Just kidding. A good, reliable auto that can be repaired in the Netherlands without costing an arm and a leg would be any German brand, and that includes Opel.... Try an Opel Vectra.

Both of which I think are out of my preice range. The Brera start at like 46,000 euro's which is about 70K USD.

There is a nice Euro market hatchback BMW out there that you might be able to lease for under 500€. I think it is a 1 Series Wagon. I will ask one of my friends who has one what the specific model is.
