I think it is is 03 or 02 galant... The engine starts for half a sec then dies out. I see the RPM gauge go to 1.. The steering becomes loose (like when the engine is on) then the engine dies out half a sec later...

What could this be from ?

 

throttle cable not on? thtas just a guess I have no idea. Have you done a compression test?

 

its my grandpas but my sister was borrowing it .. Now she is borrowing my tl-s and my heart is aching cuss i know shes gonna fuck it up loll

 

Bad gas, plugs, clogged air filter? Jeez it could be a ton of things?
Does the check engine light come on?
Tell her once it's started to give it some gas and see if it keeps it from stalling

 

it wont start.. Ive tried it.. the motor starts i pump the gas pedal and i got no reaction... All the lights are on.. But the car starts for a split second... (all lights come on ON mode) but it doesnt go away when the car semi starts

 

1. turn on the ignition and see if the car has gas

2. check the sparkplugs.

3. check and make sure has oil then report bak

 

gas check how can i check spark plugs lol ?

 

check and make sure the oil is there

 

Spark plugs i would first unplug each one one at a time from each end, make sure they look good not corroded then start the car again. if it is a no go then unscrew each spark plug check them.

 

if it has one check the fuel filter.

 

Take it to a shop.

 

 

Problem is that its a Galant

 

Could be a hundred different things. Anything from bad fuel pump, clogged injectors, bad gas, distributor/rotor, security key issue.......

Have it towed to a shop.
