**2004 TL Specs** (Leaked)

If Acura actually created an AWD system for the TL that's great, but it's so incredibly unlikely as to not be worth considering.
In fact I distinctly remember the GM saying a couple meetings ago that his contacts said FWD for the 04 TL. 290hp V6 was also mentioned.
Really, a 3.5L TL with 290hp is easy enough to do. No reason not to take the easy upgrade path for the engine since the "features" are where they are putting the focus this time with new gadgets and whatnot that you won't see anywhere else.

Aight...I ain't heard shit! First off the Rsx IS the Tsx coupe. You can say they have two different platforms but thats what American Honda calls it. As far as the 290hp base model...bullshit. My entire dealer including the service and sales managers haven't heard anything. The DVD/mp3 entertainment system is beleiveable BECAUSE it's avail. for the TSX NOW!!!! I installed one a couple of weeks ago!!!!It includes monitor that flips down from ceiling, wireless headphones, DVD/mp3 player, etc...It takes like 5 hours to install and cost a fortune so I don't think it will be a popular upgrade. That was the first one we did. The price being higher---YES---but probably not over 40k at all. Most likely around 35-37k. I'll keep all informed of any upcoming info...

290hp for the base model, thats a 65hp increase, seems hard to believe. Also why would they price the new TL so close to the RL? Unless the new RL will be moving way up in price too.
IT'S ALL SPECULATION UNTIL THE FALL.

Why is 290 HP so unreasonable? I'm by no means a car expert but isn't some of the V8 Cadillacs FWD and have over 300 horsepower.
There is sort of a horsepower war out there (look at those close to 500 hp Audis and MBs) so I think it's somewhat necessary for Acura to go 30 hp over what they're offering now. Would I go get a new car with just 10 hp over what I currently have? I for one wouldn't. Sure hp isn't everything but it's still a significant factor.
