I wanna go broke and buy one.

Actually want to see how that engine holds up though and maybe in 08 they will offer LSD.

I'm sure an LSD wouldn't be to hard to add. Maybe the E46 M3 diff could fit Even if it doesn't there will be an aftermarket option within a couple months of the cars release.

<-- So wants one but will have to wait for a used one in a few years.

I'm starting to see a few of the different colors on the 325's, but haven't seen a 335 on the road yet...

You know they'll be people w/ more money than common sense will be buying 'em up and modding the heck out of 'em soon... It'll be interesting to see if a modded 335 can hold up to some of the punishment that some people will put 'em thru...

I saw a purple (Barrique Red) 325 today and I've seen the silver (boring), but the blue ones look the best in the new body style (of the colors I've seen so far). Can't wait to see Crimson Red

It was the sedan... it was purple (to my eyes at least), not red...

I could have swore it was a 325, but wtf do I know about german stuff...

edit: I did check out the BMW site the other nite, and it was interesting to see the mix of 325/330 sedan with the 328/335 coupes...

http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/3/

So what's the deal ?? Are the sedans going to get the bigger engines eventually ??

The new sedans are still 325/330 till november. Then they switching to 328/335

My guess is that bmw is trying to clear out the 325/330s before putting the new engines on their site. They already stopped production for the 325/330.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion Jesal I guess you euro-snobs are good for something after all

Hmmm... maybe I should visit a dealer this weekend like the thread starter... the only problem is, I'd might drive away with a discounted 330

Wow, so they're starting to arrive at dealerships already? I'm interested to see what tuners will do with the twin turbos in this car. By the time I turn in my leased RL in 2 years, I'm sure they'll be lots of aftermarket support.

Oh, I thought you were referring to the coupes.

September brings all the new model year cars usually. Granted I've seen them around for a little while now when I go up north in Jersey (BMW NA).

I took a fully loaded e46 carbon black m3 with 14k miles over a brand new fully loaded 335i, and my dad's paying for it.

Thats how much I care about the 335i.

Order is in for manual. My wife's bitching about that has slowly been gaining steam. It started with "Hrm, well, I guess you've worked hard and..." and now its like "I guess I will just never drive it..." so we'll see. I have two weeks to change it if I choose to!

You'll see lots of them around before I have mine. By virtue of ED I pick it up early, but it won't arrive here until probably November.

As for the inevitable M3 comparisons, all I will say is that they are totally different cars. The 335i will likely be faster with a chip, but it is way softer (it isn't soft, just softer than an M3). They aren't meant to compete with eachother and they don't.

Interesting note - California emissions testing is holding up *all* american 335's. The 335s complies with all american laws, but it hasn't been tested in Cal yet, so they're all sitting at the docks. Bunch of guys on e90post are flipping out.

I've had to make do with oogling sedans for now...

I'm not about to step foot in a BMW dealer (too risky), so I'll have to wait to see the coupes on the road...

I just built a 335i (Montego Blue, Black Dakota Leather) on BMW's site for $49,865 including the following packages: Premium, Sport, BMW Assist, PDC, Cold Weather, Comfort Access, Navi, Sunshades, and Sirius. Makes me wonder how much the new M3 will cost. I'm thinking as much as an RS4 at $70K.

Montego blue would be one of my top choices too, and spec'd out the way I'd want it would be about $45K which is only 3K more then the 330 I spec'd out when I bought my CL in Oct 02...

Latest rumor is that the hold is nationwide now and not just for cali.

Im hearing that dealers might not get demos till first week of October now and people wont get their 335s till mid October.

Ya, all american cars... people are flipping out. Can't say I blame em; luckily us crazy Canadians don't care about the environment, or something.

DONT DO IT!!! DONT GIVE IN TO THE WIFE. She has to learn manual if she wants to drive it. You know you will regret it forever if you change to auto.

As for seeing them around,.........ya, might see the odd one. When I get to check out yours though, I can sit inside it etc and we can chat about detailing.

On the topic of detailing,...........I found our pressure washer, so that will make things a bit easier for me (cause I dont like the hose attachments I have right now). The problem is that it leaks, so I will get wet while using it. I also dont know what PSI it runs, so I have to figure that out too,....but will only be using a wide fan on the car anyway.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who's been cheating on azine with the e90post folks. Really though, its going to be hard to give up the honda lifestyle to hang out with those ignoramuses that spend more time hating on IS350s and G35s than they do trying to make their own cars better. There was some thread I was reading and it was downright painful. Joining them is not somethink I want to do, but geesh, that 335 is my destiny. I'm waiting until spring though.. trying to wait for honda to pull something out of their sleeve to save me from joining the dark side

Montego blue all the way! All my cars have been shades of gray (silver, gray, dark gray, black) and I'm ready for a change. I could probably do without navigation or comfort access on a 335i, but my '05 RL has spoiled me.

Audi forums are pretty annoying, but so are the E46/E90 forums, IS300/250/350, and anything Nissan.

So what you're saying is that AZine is the only cool import place to hang out?

Btw, i'm going titanium silver, with black/aluminum or red/dark polar interior (suggestions anyone)

At least the RL forums It could be due to age, but people on that forum seem more inclined to help then other forums I frequent. But, Acurazine is definitely a cool community overall.

Back to the 335i, the local dealership near me just received a 328i. What I really want is the 335xi, but BMW is saying it won't be out until late 2007. I just need to keep telling myself to be patient and not get 1st model year runs.

Do you think the release of the 335 will negatively effect used 330 coupe prices ??

I'm thinking that a used 330 might be a good way to go for now since I can't see spending $45K on a car that's going to be worth $30K in 3 years...

Jesal, if I had more money than God, I'd get the same thing but in blue/ebony (altho' crimson red/tan looks great too).

I think the 330's 255HP is more than enough Greenie. I wish they kept that engine around.

Everyone probably remembers the M3 engine issues of 2001... and that powerplant was N/A... with this one being FI'd, it might make for some interesting stories...

But the 328 should be just as fast even at "only" 215hp.

I just love coupes otherwise i see nothing wrong with the E90 330 sedan.

Greeny, werd up to the engine concerns on the 335. But then again bmw did handle the m3 engine BOOMs nicely.
