Oh... and the pistons are fine. There is only very minor surface abrasions on the tops of them, compression is above optimal levels at 120 across all 4 cylinders.

I was bored tonight and read through this entire thread. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and compliments as well as your opinions. I hope to hit up an A-zine meet sometime soon!

Phee: Make the TL a track star. Get some some coilovers and sticky tires. The TL is a fairly balanced car and if I remember correctly, there was even a member on azine that did very well with his a-spec TL at SCCA solo II meets.

kneedragger: What tires are you mounting? Size?

phee: This probably won't be popular, but I'd dump the TL if you're looking for a track star. If you want to get the most out of your money, ideally you'd want to start with a RWD/AWD platform. IMO TL can perform well, but it takes a heck of a lot more work (and driving skill) to get it competitive.

Pardon the ignorance but why different sized sidewalls on the front and rear?

The reason for the differences in sidewall numbers is because sidewall height is directly proportional to tire width. I have to up the front sidewall to match the rear.

I think it looks much cleaner the way it is now. If anything, I'd go for a CF lip spoiler.

Damn, not every day you see a Nissan, a Merc, and big American muscle parked right beside each other in perfect harmony at a car show. Looking good!

Have you considered blackhousing the headlights somehow?

I think black RPF1s would look sick. And Im not sure about the spoiler. Maybe a lip spoiler. But I like it as is.

You have OE projectors in there now, right?

Id honestly swap out those projectors with a modern projector. Im betting the old Nissan projectors arent much better then the old Honda projectors (Im talking about the old DC2 Integra projectors - they sucked.

^ Yeah. There have been a few people who have retro-fitted TSX projectors with success. It's pretty tricky though.

Another video.

Yea, Ive seen some retrofits and its not a very tall housing. I would personally go with Morimoto Mini H1s. They are really small and have excellent output. They are bixenon as well, but if you dont want that you can easily leave the solenoid disconnected. The Mini H1s are very easy to mount as well.

Since you already have projectors in those lights to begin with, Im sure they are mounted to a plate which is connected to the adjusters. The simplest thing to do is make a new plate and mount the new projector to that. And you may even be able to use the stock shrouds and everything, so it will appear OEM on the outside but the output and cutoff is far superior.

The light on the outside is your low beam, right?

Is the beam in the center the highbeam and the inside a DRL?

^ The lights on the outside are the lowbeams, next to them, on the inside are the highbeams, next to them, are the foglights (yellow).

I love your car KD, so sick. I always thought it'd look sick if the RPF1's were a darker gray, like a gunmetal look.
