Damn this does look too good to be true. I was gonna run a quick car fax on it for you, but they have one posted. Even has low miles! I'd def be interested but looking to get back in another Acura...lol.

That's pretty cheap IMO.. but when you think about it, is that little hot wheels car worth 10k?

I pondered a long ass time on an S2k but I couldn't justify spending the money for what little car you get in return. I would've also been DD'ing, though

you are saying it's inconvenient, right? then that I agree.

if we are talking about the driving experience, you can get SO MUCH with S2Ks.

The value of a car isn't so black and white. There's a reason why a Lotus Elise is semi-pricey.

Buy it and never regret ever buying it because it has a timing chain, all you need to do is change oil and check fluids.

Buy and put the 2007 wheels and suspension on it can call it a day, the old 2001-2004 s2k's were snap happy, honda fixed that by changing the tire size and tweaking the suspension.

It almost looks too good to be true. Despite the clean Carfax, I'd inspect it. If it's clean, buy it.

You'd better do this fast, though. At that price, it will not last long.

S2k's are great cars but that listing looks a little shady, definitely worth looking into because if the car does check out it be a steal especially at $9900 in that condition

Ive seen plenty of AP1s in the $10-15k range. Sure this one is on the low end, but I wouldnt exactly be wary of the price.

isnt this the first year? with the shitty top? and a few other things that made the first few years pretty unappealing.
Its still an s2k and all the issues on the first few years are easily fixable(no design flaw). Id go for it if it checks out

I'd get at least a 2002 model. Preferably an AP2 though. I've checked out several dozen S2K's at this point.

Thanks for the help all, its for my brother in law.

The car is sold unless the person backs out. They are coming from tenn and we are in Florence SC (obviously from the site).

His budget is 10k and he wants an S2k so you can imagine how that search is going.

Civicdrivr, thanks I wasn't aware of no defroster and the plastic wind shield. The other stuff I was aware of.

If it were me I'd spend the extra cash and an AP2, but he want's a 9k redline even despite some of the AP1 issues I raised to him. I even registered him at s2ki.com and he still goes against most peoples recommendations because he is looking for a deal.

***Side note, dealer did say I can drive the car today and if the person backs out its mine (his, I am his test driver). Then he will have a supercharged 2007 SI and a 2001 S2k, lol I'm confused on what his daily will be...

Thanks again, off to take my final

It's a good price but inspect it closely. 4 owners in 62K miles is quite a bit.

These things are super fun to drive, not the greatest for a DD though.

I would have an independent mechanic check it first before buying it. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. 4 owners in a short time may tells another story as well.
