These Nex are still for sale. I posted pics in Car Talk a couple weeks ago of the Nex after they came off my car and the Teins went on it. They still look BRAND NEW because they were only on there for around 7,000 miles.

These are excellent entry-level coilovers. They offer a wide range in height adjustment. You can slam it too low to drive (good for shows) or raise it to 4x4 height or anything in between. They are completely height adjustable.

They ride stiff because they have a good spring rate made for handling and performance on our heavy, fwd cars.

These are full coilovers (replace your entire spring and strut combo) made for the '98-01 Accord V6 or Acura 3.2 CL/TL.

The pics work for me, nice car JRock. I have a question though, whats the difference between the two coilovers. I have been thinking about getting some but was wondering if the Nex or Tein or better ride quality wise? thanks

 

The Teins are a better ride quality because the spring rate is much softer. I find I'm bottoming the Teins more than I ever did the Nex because of this soft spring rate. I am most likely going to buy the next level stiffer of springs that Tein offers for these coilovers. I think the Tein's springs were made with the Accord V6 in mind and our car is a little heavier which would explain why I'm bottoming.

The Nex ride a little stiffer but they are, in turn, better performance-wise. They are also more height adjustable than the Teins.

 

JRock...maybe I just didn't pay enough attention when I installed my TEINs....but it looks like on your NEXs there is a second set of threads at the bottom of the strut.

Does that twist up and down too? If so that's pretty cool...you can change height w/o changing the actual coilover's travel distance.

 

Yes, two different ways to adjust height. That is why they have the ability to adjust height much more than the Teins.

 

I think these are sold, I'm just waiting for the money order from the buyer. Will update again if/when sold.

Yeah these wonderful Teins that are so soft they bottom often. I'm probably going to order the stiffer springs Tein sells for these SS model coilovers.
