It won't work, according to the different part numbers. The 99-01 TL has a separate igniter unit also ($143.32), while the 2001 CL is all one piece, which probably accounts for the difference in prices.

99-01 TL P/N 33144-S0K-A01 List price $255.40

2001 CL P/N 33144-S3M-A01 List price $394.17

What about for a 2002 TL-S? Any idea if this works? I believe the 2002 might also be one combined unit. Anyone know?

It's a combined unit, but different part number. 33109-S0K-A01.

Thanks Ron for the info. I wonder why/how they are different. To me, it seems like an igniter is an igniter regardless. I think it's the shape of it if anything. It should fire a 2002+ TL HID IMHO.

But for some reason the 2002+ is alot more expensive than the 99-01??
