Hey. I am new to car audio. What kind of amp do I need for this sub? Also, will this sub "drown out" the audio from a stock speaker system? thanks!

This sub is actually a perfect match for stock speakers. IT takes 250 to 300 watts RMS. Which is the max I think you should go with stock. Any amp that makes about that much power at 4 ohm would be a perfect match. When you add more woofer it will start to drown out everything else. But this does a great job with low end bass that is missing with stock. And for $75 shipped you cant really find anything cheaper
