CARPC for your 3g TL <<BUY ME>>

Well..due to financial reasons and lack of free time I am posting up my carpc build that was nearly complete. I am hoping I can get rid of everything all in one sale if at all possible; it will consist of the pc, 7" touchscreen, power supply, 2 16ft usb, a belkin stereo to mini, the blitz aux adapter (to run stereo back to the oem radio), 04-06 OEM Non-navi display, and 04-06 Navi Subdisplay. (Optional). The Only left needed would be the vga cable, and amp kit!

PC is an aOpen xcube:
Pentium M 1.5mhz
512 mb ram
40gb harddrive
Windows XP preloaded
Opus power supply (12v for the vehicle)
7" Liliput led backlit Touchscreen LCD

I am asking 775 shipped o.b.o. with paypal.

Car PC?

Is there anyway if I have the non navi, could I use the car pc as seen in the picture, but without the display where the compartments are? Like use the sub navi display that you are selling optional and keep the compartments for a more stock look?

no...you will need to get the navi display if you want climate control full function with the subdisplay im offering. if you would like to have the clock work as well then you need to do a full navi conversion essentially to get everything to work with the subdisplay .

I at one point thought i could get atleast climate control display only.. and not get the stereo (which i would of been fine)..but it has no connections from the vehicle or the other side of the controls

...so on that note.. if you want to keep the compartment..you will need to guess what climate control you are at..and setting.;X..there's one or two on here say "..i know when I need cold..and when I need heat...so no reason to see what i feel.." type of scenario.

I'll admit I have interest and have been following this post to see if your price lowers. Let me know >your< bottom line price and we may have a deal. I'm still confused on how this gets installed to if you have a good link or info on how to do it in a Gen3 TL. Seems like all the info I can find on how to do the install if far and wide and need to read all of it and become a expert on this topic before you try it.

definitely noted..
http://picasaweb.google.com/hsetty20...rInstallation#

probably the most intuitive picture base ..with the exception it's on a tl with navi.

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...tall-done.html

the car apart..and if you look closely on what wires you'll need to extend its in with of the photos at the beginning..also show how the dremel and sanded down the nonnavi display..

been reading this thread for couple days...... i at one point attempted to non nav to nav conversion for 06 TL but became to costly. I'm contemplating DDin w/ all the bells and whistles (dvd, ipod interface, gps, video feed etc) CARPC is what? a "power computer" inside the car? i c where the LCD monitor replaces stock non nav screen which is relocated to storage compartments....very innovative but..... what does this CARPC do? what are its capabilities?

highly interested regardless my confusion......

Well if you are willing to tackle the project as in relocating the non navi screen..or go with out.. you can do everything you listed.

DVD (on jump drive..or run a external drive up front), ipod, mp3 hdd built in, bluetooth, wifi, gps, etc... it could be endless with an on board pc..

follow some of the links i posted previously above and see what i mean..for most you can change screens and such and alot more customizable. LMK !!

All factory equip remain the same...only different is the blitz taps into the xm portion that allows the carpc to play through!

..closest reference i have.. on a 3g with navi.. I would imagine you would have to mod the factory screen the same way...*scroll 2/3 down and you'll see what I am referring to

I am not sure why you are still posting in my thread... I simply said good luck..essential if that's the avenue you are taking. I am trying to sale not necessarily figure out what my options are..I am fully aware of going full navi.. please be courteous and understand no attack on you but leave my thread.
