Krown Rust proofing 4G TL

Hey everyone!

I am looking for some reviews of people who had this process done to their 4G TL. I would like to get the service done but I hate the idea of them drilling access points all over the car. Anyone with experience, are these access points noticeable? Was it worth the cash?

Thanks!

Hey, I live in Ontario and just bought my 2014 TL SH-AWD. I took it straight to Krown. It does suck having the holes drilled but it is the best way to protect your vehicle from our winters. Between the oil spray and washing the salt off every so many days all of my other cars still look like new. I was worried about doing it but Krown does a clean job, the holes look like they came from the dealer and if your Acura is black you wont even see the plugs they put it in.

Here's mine on the lift getting treated at Krown.

Krown is good stuff, I used to work there and they do good work for the price you pay.

I am also not too crazy with getting holes in my car. I have been using Permashine for 15 years on different cars and very happy with it. It is more expensive than Krown but you dont need to get the car sprayed every year. The place I went to also doesn't drill holes in the car.

I always Krown my cars, it's great. The drill holes are minimal and they get covered with flat black plugs and you don't even notice them. When I traded in my 11 year old Accord for my TL the dealer looked over the Accord and within seconds said "You get this car sprayed, don't you?" He new right away from the condition of my 270,000 km Accord that the Krown spray has really helped maintain the great condition of the car. He gave me a great trade-in amount for the Accord and sold it in less than 2 weeks.
If you plan on keeping your TL for a while I highly recommend Krown.

If anything you can ask for them not to drill holes into the body and do the rest.

Too late a response to help you, but for the others...

I have been using Krown since 1990 with having them spray our cars till I started doing it myself in 2000.

I never had any holes drilled. There are enough access holes by removing the rubber plugs, for example, the underside of the rocker panels. Not all cars are the same, so you will have to check what is possible.
I removed door trim panels to get to my doors if they are easy to remove without damaging anything. Otherwise I pop off the rubber grommet where the wiring enters the door, spray and reinsert the grommet.
