Volk Wheels with Kics Neochrome Lugs

I just felt bored, and decided to post a picture that I took after work yesterday of my friend's car's wheel, which he just got his Kics Neo Chrome lug nuts on, sick!

Anyway, enjoy, until I can afford a Filter.

It's hard to take pictures of a white car, to get every detail, lines, etc.

Any suggestions or things I can purchase would help. Just a stock Nikon D70S for now. Suggestions on Filters would help as well. I'm having a hard time getting the sky into the picture ie. clouds and brick walls as well.

It's the stock 18-70mm lens that comes on the D70S.

Yeah, I've actually tried that out a couple times. Would it help me at all with obtaining a better quality picture with a white object? Or getting the descriptive lines of a brick building? Those two are the hardest things right now to fix.

Thanks, I envy his set-up and he's a budget tuner as well as I am. We both work at the same Country Club, so yeah, we live on water and crackers, and spend all our money on parts

Yeah I have a feeling it would. Can you post a sample of what you have? Small size, and we can see what the possibilities are?

Here's an unedited version of a photo. The back wall is supposed to be white brick.

Also, I noticed that the background is a bit blurry, I'm assuming the f5.6 I've been using is doing t hat to me. What should I change it to so that I'm gaining all detail out of an image? Background and up close?

Well unfortunately a good portion of that brick is blown out and unrecoverable. :< White brick on a sunny day with a dark colored car is tough. The background focus is not too bad, it's hard not to get some amount of softness in the background when you have a subject up front and close like that Supra (nice one, btw). Can I show you how much I was able to recover using Lightroom?

Sure, I'm doing that myself at the moment as well, but I'd like to see your fix.

Well... here's the one I edited after Lightroom, I think I got some details back from the bricks.

I know, I sharpened too much, but I'm just lazy ATM.

Unedited Photo.
