Trying out PS CS3 and PSE6

Picture 1:

Picture 2:

Picture 1 was done in PSCS3. The process was lengthy but I am a beginner.
Picture 2 was done in PSE6. Only adjusted contrast, brightness and saturation.

I can't decide which I like more...

that's it? white balance looks different, unless you only dropped blue saturation in the 2nd pic.
I'm not a big fan of bluish pictures, unless it's a winter pic.

Looks like he added a blur effect to the background on #1

Sorry if that's

Yeah the 1st picture has a slight motion blur to the background. I tried to make it more white but I failed

I think the blur would work better if the shot was actually a panning shot, just taken with too fast a shutter speed to actually show the blur. It just seems wrong on a static lineup of cars... Rather, use a larger aperture to narrow the DOF when taking the shot.

The blur is a cool effect, but the WB just kind of makes it

The second looks much better IMO.

It should look roughly the same, however. The cars would get even more blurry the further back you go, but I doubt most people would notice that.
I personally like the DOF tightness, gives the car more 'pop'.

Can you actually adjust the blur in CS3? If that's the case i'm def going to have to try the program out. Right now i'm pretty happy with PSE 6 but it would be nice to have some more features
