How long will this "live.com 25% off" last? I've been meaning to use it for purchasing my A-Spec body kit, (OT I know) but I've heard you can use it 3 times in one month? Ive been meaning to save up for the 10-22 as well.

That's just over $310. Awesome deal. I might be able to justify that.

Did you get the lens already? How about the cashback?

From what I've read, the percent off keeps changing - it was as high as 35%, but has gone up and down a few times. Also, there is a cap of $200 or $250. When I checked last week, ebay allowed you to use the cashback up to 12 times, but they have to be separate transactions and at different times (at least 1 hour apart).

I get the cashback on December 24th (according to my live.com web page). They don't give it back right away (in case you get sneaky and try to return the item). I should get the lens this week. It's coming from NYC. Just make sure the lens you buy is from a USA store (there are plenty of Hong Kong retailers).

If you are considering this, do it ASAP. As posted above, It was first 35%, 30%, and now 25%. Who knows how long this will last. Do a google search on "ebay discount codes" to get the 10% off code. It is valid until October 30th. The code is also probably in your ebay mailbox.

I was unable to get this to work last week, and I have a live.com account. Can you list what steps you went through to get the discount. Thanks.

For the purpose of this demonstarion, I will use another lens'

1. Go to live.com
2. Type in "Canon EF 28-135mm IS lens" and then submit
3. The first link should display

"Canon lens ef 28
- www.ebay.comLive Search cashbackLive Search cashback

Buy Canon lens ef 28. You may get 25% off with PayPal if eligible."

4. Click on that link, then "buy it now"
5. At checkout, apply 10% code: CFALLSAVINGS10P

I was thinking the $461 was the before cashback price. So, it was listed with BIN for ~ 680? Still, that's a great deal.

i just wish it didn't max out at $200. But at least they increased it to like 12 transactions I think. I was saving them at first for only large transactions when you could only use it 3 times.

Hopefully it continues on for a while. There is a lot of stuff I'll need eventually.

anyone know if that 10% coupon only works for certain accounts? I remember back in june they had a similar 10% coupon, but it was only available if they had emailed it to you at some point. I know I didn't get it for some reason.

waTSX: just make sure on the buy it now confirmation page, that it says how much you will save. Not ALL buy it now auctions are elidgible, as some companies use their own checkout system rather than paypal.

After you buy it now, you also have to redeem your cashback by going to my ebay messages, and clicking on the 'get cashback' button, then signing into your account. Then it takes a couple days for it to show up in your live.com account as pending cashback.

i thought the 10% off coupon negated the live cashback? I thought I read something about that briefly on slickdeals.

I hope you found a reputable seller. I'll order a lot of things off of ebay, but a new camera is not one of them. Hope all goes well.

Yes, you need to make sure that it is a NikonUSA Warranty and not just a US Warranty, if the latter, you're going to have a very hard time to get it fixed. NikonUSA will not fix items not sold with a NikonUSA warranty.

Not sure about Nikon, but in canon's case, the seller has to be an authorized dealer too.

From what I found with my switch over, the was a pretty good thread going in another forum. NikonUSA will not work on equipment not sold as NikonUSA equipment, even if you just want to pay them to fix it. Canon will, be won't honor warranties.

But to debunk what is on NikonUSA website, a member of that forum stated that he did get Nikon to do some work on stuff that he sent in that he bought in Japan. It was not warranty work.

I am just worried, because Canon sent me an email saying that 17th Street (Flashpoint is their eBay name) is not an authorized Canon dealer, despite 17th Street saying they are an "authorized dealer" for all their merchandise.

Anyone had to deal with Canon warranty service for a product from 17th Street?

And for the record, it's currently 30% cash back!!!
