You create excellent bokeh Sir.

Looking forward to your future photos.

What lens do you want next?

A 70-200mm 2.8 Or a 24mm 1.8g if Nikon ever decides to make one..They have the 24mm 1.4 but its like $2000 For that I would rather spend that on the 70-200....Tnx for the love guys

Find a used AF-D 24mm 2.8. Its all you need...and if you are shooting on a DX sensor then its really more like a 36mm.

I was always frustrated shooting with my 24 on a DX sensor coming from shooting on 35. Biggest reason I went to FX the when they finally offered it.

Thats a 30mm equivalent. Its better...but getting wide its a pain cropped sensors.

possibly look at the tokina 11-16...dont they make one with a F mount...or is it only canon?

A fast aperture 85mm and above lens are usually used for portraits

what does that have to do with wanting a wide lens? Did I miss something in the reading?

The 70-200 will spoil you. When I look at images I've taken without the 70-200 it makes me angry haha. The level of clarity with that lens is immense. I recommend it to anyone. Buy it off ebay so you can earn those ebay bucks.

The latest DxoMark reviews for best lens on D7100..Has the Tokina 11-16 Pro Dx lens as number 2 best ultra wide zooms..11 mp/ sharpness.($571 Amazon for new dx2 with af-s) On the other end for telephoto zooms. The Sigma F2.8 Ex DC APO OS HSM Nikon mount 50mm-150mm as #1 ..(really tied with Nikkor 70mm-200mm 2.8 and Tamrons 70mm-200mm) But Sigma was a tad sharper at 17mp versus 16's for other two. This Sigma is a DX lens and would give me a (50mm-225mm) Focal length..($949 Amazon) Chi ching.. I think I would go for those two as my choices..

Yes I shot those with a Nikkor 85mm 1.8(ranked number 2 just under the 85mm1.4 which is 3 times the cost) Not justifiable in my book
I will be doing some different shots with my Nikkor 105mm F2.8 soon to show you what that can do..

I think you are brave to make this a job, and I hope you are doing this in a careful manner, i.e. business insurance, pricing, etc.

The park pictures are 'nice' and the gear is making it easier, but there are distracting elements/compositional issues in several of the portraits that would bother me if I were a paying client.

I know you did not ask for C+C, but bumping your thread for people to look at your pics will invite both praise and criticism, and you should welcome both.

All said, I am glad you are enjoying photography so much, your enthusiasm is prompting me to want to press the shutter a little more. Thanks.

Not sure what is bothering you about my composition..Not as an excuse, but this was a last minute rushed session that I did in an hour..The youngest was running around like crazy and was very challenging..But I was up to the challenge. About distracting elements.... If you are talking about the black jacket under the youngest one. Well, she would not lay one the leaves unless mom put down her jacket..lol I wanted to put leaves over it to hide it,but did not think mom would appreciate that. The oldest girl was very easy to work with and helped the shoot. It is all a learning process and appreciate the good with the bad. Thanks for looking

I wont volunteer again out of respect for the "artist" (unless you really ask for clarification), but if you are interested in unbiased critique and criticism (good and bad) just post a pic and ask for C+C. You will get a lot and you don't have to listen to any of it, but if you do it will improve your skills beyond where you are now, and we can all always improve.
