Help finding specific type of portable tripod

Hi,

When I was in Japan 2 years ago I saw a guy using a portable tripod to take digital pictures at night. The legs were basically like the antennas you would find on a portable stereo(boom box) that it collapsed inside of itself and it would fold up to be about 6inches long

I can't find it in any store, on eBay or on the net. Does anyone know where to find this

Don't think this link will work but here goes nothing: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation

If it doesn't, go to www.bhphotovideo.com and navigate to:
Cameras & Photo Gear -> General Accessories -> Tripods & Support -> Tripods & Support -> Tripods -> Tabletop & Mini Tripods

There are about 6 pages of them to choose from.

See the thing is I am looking for a travel tripod that folds up to be really small, half of the mini tripods i have found are about 6 inches max.

I think there are some in the compact section, sunpak makes one that sound pretty much as you describe, kindof big stereo antennas for legs.

Since you're looking for such a teeny tiny tripod I assume you're planning on using it with a small digicam. If so, have you considered a Monster Pod? I have no idea how well they actually work, but the various video clips I've seen of them are fairly convincing. It's not terribly expensive either.
