Any one ever use this to capture video on their cars or anything?
I may try to buy it when I get birthday money, I just need to know if it's a good product.

eh...the video could be greater than 512x384...pretty cool, though..

i use a heavy-duty suction mount for my video camera or DSLR to record my car...not as hidden and compact as the GoPro cameras, but works great...

friend just sent me a link for this
looks pretty cool. Gives you more angle than just using a tripod in your back seat

I never liked the way you would mount the camera on a helmet thou... I prefer the contour cameras.

Plus with their slide to record Lever, it seems much easier to start recording.

I have the first ones when they first came out... and the sound quality was just terrible... but I'm pretty sure they've fixed the problem since... (and yes, I played with the settings, it was either static as hell or no sound at all).

i was given a Hero 2 (motorsport) camera for my birthday. i love this thing!

sound and quality is great and you can get some great angles with the different mounts.

here's a quick clip i shot in the evening attached to my car. remember, the quality will be much better in daylight.

This was one hell of a thread resurrection . I looked into all of the cameras available before buying my Replay XD1080. I've used the Contour in the past and ran into technical issues that warranted a replacement. I've never been a fan of the GoPro's echo sounding audio. I'm guessing that's because of the clear case.
Here are a few examples of my recent recordings with my XD. The car was shot in 1080 and the paintball in 720.
