Gear Insurance

What do you guys do?

I just added a separate schedule to my homeowners for $21/year that covers theft and mysterious disappearance worldwide (I am going to Mexico in a couple of weeks), but does not cover accidental damage.

What do you guys and gals with lot's of gear do to insure it?

I was wondering about this as well. I need to get some type of insurance, I think.

I have it on a seperate rider on my renters/home owners insurance. Everything is listed serial numbered and valued.

Sarlacc, does your policy cover the gear if you drop it and it breaks, or does that just become "mysteriously disappeared?"

I think it covers it under everything.

Separate rider on home owner's ins. Covers any loss for any reason - no deductible.

I guess I am getting shafted by Nationwide. No coverage for accidental damage, just theft and disappearance. I am only paying an extra $21 a year though with no deductible...

I guess if I damage it, it just disappears....
