Camera Tossing...As a Technique?
Yep...just as the title says. Nuts...cuz, I'm not sure how many of you want to throw around your $$$$ toy...but, here's a site of some people who practice the technique with some interesting and pretty results: http://www.colourlovers.com/blog/200...amera-tossing/

It's amazing the the things people can think of to do with a camera.
Point and shoots are pretty sturdy, actually. I dropped my old olympus countless
times - on rocks a few times! Thing just kept on going.
The biggest risk would be landing on the lens and jamming it.
If you could protect that, and did it over something reasonably safe (like say, grass),
It's probably not that bad.

Well, couldn't resist giving it a try:

It's harder than it looks. First of all, you have to prefocus.
Then you have to throw and hope the camera doesn't rotate too much.
There is a custom timer thing on the SD800 where you can say, 'wait X seconds, then take Y shots' which helps a lot.
